Thank you to all the researchers who have told me that my work has helped them in some way. That is very important to me. I hope others who are able to take pictures and/or catalog cemeteries in the area where they live will do it. This is what this site is all about. Sharing with others who can't travel all over the country getting their family information.|
I love getting corrections, transfers, and link requests, but PLEASE DO IT FROM THE MEMORIAL PAGE as it is so much easier. It gives me all the info I need.....along with your request, of course! I will not do requests from the public message page. I am much too busy to look up the memorial to make the changes for you. DO ALL REQUESTS FROM THE 'EDIT' LINK ON THE INDIVIDUAL MEMORIAL PAGE! Thank you.
Happy Hunting, Kathy

Thanks again Kathy for the transfer.
Thank you for your timely response. The 2 John Brinkleys were born in 1809. One died in 1861 and the other died 1863. They are buried 6 miles apart. Based only on the location of the Mother's graves I have sent you the edits for the children that you sponsor. I am assuming the spouses are together in the same cemeteries. I realized there was a problem because I don't often see 2 children with the same first names, that both made it to adulthood. Again Thanks.

Hi. You posted the memorial for my Grandfather, Luther G. Stewart no. 97746537 and I was wondering if I could use the grave photo to post as the pic for my Grandmother's memorial. Thank you. Jimmy Stewart

Greetings, I have been looking at census and death records for over an hour now and I have to tell you Harrison Brinkley 15716150 and Mary Jane Brinkley Long 17926564 were not the children of the John Brinkley you have listed. The Mother is correct. But either this John Brinkley was a bigamist Or all the other children listed for him are for the wrong John. There were 2 John Brinkley born 1808-1809. One shows up with wife Mary in 1850 and 1860 Davidson county. The other John BRINKLY in 1850 is in Yancey county and then moves to Davidson county in 1860. Here his name shows up as Brinkley. Pitiful ain't it?
Thank you for all the work you have done with this family in the Find A Grave. We greatly appreciate your hard work and dedication to volunteer!
|Wendy McIntosh||James & Phoebe Burnett|
I know for certain that James Burnett did marry a Phoebe Easton in Missouri. Their son Earle was born in Missouri in 23 Aug 1883. Unfortunately the original document does not have their actual years of birth and the date of birth from James is unclear - I think someone who was transcribing the document just made a guess that his age was 21. Additionally, the transcription says that James's name was James Bennett, but on the original you can clearly see it is "Burnett".
Although the date of the marriage certificate is AFTER the date of their son Earle, it was not uncommon for couples to get married by the justice of the peace and later have a church wedding.

Thank you so much!
I'll do as much as I can with her... she lived a sad life.
|Marcia Lynne vonGunden||Transfer and a big thank you|
Thank you for your generosity in transferring:
Charlene Isabel Perrell Welch 18527101
to my care.
With you help I have successfully connected her to her parents and 3 of her 9 siblings. Her husband and six children are noted. As I receive more information, I will add it to Our shared memorial.
With sincerest appreciation,
