RE: Verhasselt
Hello fellow graver,

Happy to help! During the winter I continue to photgraph interior and exterior mausoleum crypts but not cemetery graves. Not only because of of the cold, drifts of snow and monuments buried beneath snow, but because I find photos that include green grass, flowers and leafed out trees more desirable. I will be back in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery in April or early May.

RE: Ft. Howard Memorial Park
Completely understand what you are saying about "claiming" but wasn't sure I'd be able to get back and locate markers within 14 days. And I definitely wanted the GPS coordinates. Doesn't bother me if someone claims the marker but I agree that it is more efficient if those of us in a specific area aren't doubling. Thanks!

I see we both have been out in the snow (at least I was) trying to locate markers. Thanks for helping others! I've been adding GPS coordinates, when I remember to bring my device. Maybe some folks will use Google Earth or their smart phone to check-in on a relative now and then. I couldn't locate the Callie Badger, Emil Kazmaier, and Peter Rasmussen markers...if they ever existed. Probably covered by snow or like the very helpful staff person suggested, these people might be buried in another location and there isn't a record for a marker. Accidentally scraped off some snow today and located the Peter Larscheid marker. Devine Intervention or pure luck? Who knows?
