I started researching the Rock family in 1995 because my father died when I was very young and I needed to know more about him. Then I found that researching my families made them come alive for me. I am hooked on family research!|
Thanks to all who contribute to Find-A-Grave. It is truly amazing how many people give of their time.
Please let me know if you see any mistakes.
The pictures I take are for friends and family to use and no need to ask to copy. If you publish or use on another site please give proper credit due. Thank you.

Your welcome. The Jackson Cemetery is very nice and I enjoy visiting there and looking around.

I was just looking at your message again and realized I'm not sure I ever replied. If I did, sorry for the repeat! I do this in spurts - I get absorbed in it for a while, then sometimes lay off of it for weeks or even months.
In any event, you're welcome! William Green Ellis is my great, great grandfather. When I first began my genealogy in earnest, about 10 years ago, I turned up some info regarding the old Ellis homestead area later being occupied by a family by the name of Tedder. If I remember correctly, I just did some searches in the area and found a concentration of Tedders on B.W. Johnson Road near Causeyville, Miss. I knocked on the door of a Tedder in the area and nobody was home, but spotted a neighbor who was somehow familiar with the history of the road and took me right to the graves. The homeowner was not home, and I really want to go back an introduce myself sometime. Apparently B.W. Johnson Road was once Ellis Road. The Texas Ellises, who have done so much family research and host a reunion each year, raised funds for the marker that is at the site. Four or five area buried there.
Sorry for the ramble!

I have some update/correction info for you on one of the Memorials.
I have no real need to fix this error, but I know you folks like to get things right.
You can contact me at:
We need to establish communications before I spend any more time with this circuitous e-mail system.

Thank you so much for making the corrections I suggested on her memorial and thank you for posting a picture of their marker. I never would have gotten to Tennessee from WV to get a picture.
