Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi! Please take a moment to stop by and visit my Dad, he died June 13, 2013 and I miss him terribly.

Thank you so much to everyone who leaves flowers for Dad! It means a lot to me to know he's remembered.

I'm sorry I haven't done much flowering lately, my hands are killing me (along with everything else) and I haven't been able to do as much as I'd like on here =(

My friend's son, Charles, passed away on May 24, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. He was only 23.

If you have a few moments, stop on by to visit some of my family, they're all very dear to me!

Grandma and Grandpa Gantley, I can't believe they've been gone so long. Aunt Eileen, too, who was total awesomesauce. Jeff was married to my cousin, he was always a lot of fun and we were shocked when he left us so suddenly.

Sissy was my sweetheart's sister, she left them far too soon. He and his mom speak of Sissy so often it's like I knew her, and she's sorely missed. His Grandpa Evans is a frequent visitor in family conversation, too. Aunt Lil, who died in March 2013, asked to be added to Findagrave, the whole story is on her memorial :)

Q & Ra are my birds, I miss them screeching to greet me when I get home and the joy of their company.

The Black Turken is the bird in my profile picture

I've always enjoyed looking for graves and hunting for cemeteries. This has also extended to peoples' virtual cemeteries, I go through a lot of them. It's always interesting, like those in the real world. (I should also mention I love reading peoples screen names, too, some are so cute, clever, or otherwise interesting!)

I've visited most of the graves I've listed here and but I AM NOT related to most of them, if you want to edit/add a bio. on anyone I've listed please contact me and I will be happy to do so. I'd also be happy to transfer memorial ownership.

I wish that all the memorials on here had a bit of a bio, an obit, a note from family or a scrap from a newspaper. So that you, the reader, could have even a tiny glimpse into the life that is gone. Same with family links, it makes me sad so many memorials have no links, no bios, no flowers. I have been working at finding out anything I can for everyone I've added, but so many of these people are simply a mystery.

A while ago someone asked me why I do this, why do I spend time in cemeteries, taking pictures of graves, researching families that aren't my own, adding them here, linking and transferring, talking to people and finding out more. Ask me every day and I imagine I'd have a different answer every one, but in the end it boils down to love. I love what I do, and I love my family, and know that everyone was once loved, loved others, and just because they have died doesn't mean that they don't deserve the love of the living, even if it isn't a relative or friend.

Death is beautiful when seen to be a law, and not an accident - It is as common as life.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Death is a delightful hiding place for weary men.

"Mayst thou rest soundly and quietly, and may the light turf lie easy on thy bones."
~Albius Tibullus

"My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today."
~Richard Adams, Watership Down

It seemed to Hazel that he would not be needing his body any more, so he left it lying on the edge of the ditch, but stopped for a moment to watch his rabbits and to try to get used to the extraordinary feeling that strength and speed were flowing inexhaustibly out of him into their sleek young bodies and healthy senses. "You needn't worry about them," said his companion. "They'll be all right--and thousands like them. If you'll come along, I'll show you what I mean." He reached the top of the bank in a single, powerful leap. Hazel followed; and together they slipped away, running easily down through the wood, where the first primroses were beginning to bloom.
~Watership Down, Richard Adams

Hi! I loved reading your bio and am so sorry for the loss of your Dad.

The 2 people mentioned above were my husband's 3rd great grandparents. I am wondering whether you could transfer management of their memorials to me. I will also request several others in the same cemetery soon,as I have a great deal of info to add to them. I will write another message with their memorial numbers, as I forgot to jot them down before Istartedto write.

Thanks so much for all you do! Your work is so important and much appreciated.

Regarding Anna- We visited but could not locate a stone for her. Do you have any suggestions about how I could locate her grave, as we would like to place one if it has been destroyed. Again-Thanks!

Alexander Family
Hello, again! When you were photographing Clark (Fales) Cemetery, Henderson, NY did you by any chance see a stone for Aaron Alexander (1787-1820)? Reuben was his brother. I grew up in the Henderson area and if Aaron is there I want to visit him. On another subject, I found Mary Mellen Alexander's grave thanks to you! I really appreciate your efforts. I also found most of her family which was a wonderful discovery. Quite a day! Best regards, Natalie J. Woodall

I can probably add it to the page and you can delete it if you do not think it appropriate. Her story just touched me and I wanted to polish the individual picture a bit. Let me know what you think.
