Yes I have been out of action for about a year.|
I will admit that I have met some wonderful people here. But my absence is more due to the overwhelming people that are so demanding and rude. Starting in Feb 2014 I am going to try to get back in the swing of things.
Rudeness is not necessary as we all have real life's to deal with, ups and downs.

|Michael Miller||Jesse Jackson & Mary Melvina McCarver Montgomery|
This couple is NOT buried in the Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery. Burials did not begin in Marcus until at least the mid 1940's.
From Mary Montgomery's death certificate and the mortuary record from Webb Funeral Home in Fredericktown, of which I have a copy. Both Jesse Jackson Montgomery & his wife Mary Melvina McCarver Montgomery are buried in the Anthony Cemetery out off of Z Highway near the Goose Creek/Shady Grove Communities in Madison County. I dont' believe either of the Anthony Cemeteries are listed on the Find A Grave site.
I am noticing A LOT of graves that are listed in Marcus that do not belong in the cemetery. I personally walked this cemetery and enumerated it as part of a project for the county's cemetery books. This one thing overall I find disturbing about Findagrave, and the lack of accuracy involved, however I belong to Find A Grave and it is a great tool.

Hello, ---- I sent parental links a month ago. Did you receive them ? I can send them again, just let me know.
|Shortpoket||Maggie V Moore|
I left the following message under the "edit" tab on my great aunt Maggie V. Moore's Memorial page on 22 Aug 2013. Since you have not made the family connections, I am assuming you did not receive the message so I am sending it this way. I would appreciate you making the connections.
Maggie (Maggie Vashti Stokes) was my great aunt. I would appreciate it if you would make a few family connections for me. She is buried next to her second husband John C. Moore - Find A Grave #42610230. Maggie's first husband was Warren Freeman Barnes he is buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Find A Grave #48827968. Her parents are buried at Rose Hill Burial Park. Their names and Find A Grave numbers are John Wesley Stokes (father)-Find A Grave #70943045 and her mother was Eliza Stokes - Find A Grave #70942397. I'll be glad to maintain it if you don't want to mess with all the changes! Thanks so much for all your help. Janie
PS If I left something out, let me know and I'll try to fill it in. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for helping me keep the family connected!
Just came across your Find A Grave Memorial# 40691097, and read the accompanying note and the newspaper clipping. Wanted to thank you for posting those details....he was my great grandmother's brother, and I'd never heard that story before. So sad :( But glad I could leave some virtual flowers in memory of him and his family.

Hi, I am one of the ones who overwhelmed you with and edit request, because I sent you one the beginning of August, I may have sent you one on someone else too, I'm not sure....
With 16,000 memorials I imagine it would be pretty overwhelming. My edit request was asking you to correct her name and to link her to her parents and 2nd husband's memorials.
On my end it's pretty overwhelming trying to follow up on whether a memorial has been edited or not also....I have some edit requests on other memorials (not yours) dated back to April & probably before, that I've sent follow up requests and they're still not done, either ignored or a fallen graver??
LINKING MEMORIALS AND HAVING THE CORRECT NAMES, DATES, ETC... helps others FIND their graves.
I may do nothing more with the transferred memorial than make the links, but since she's family, I will be researching her and while maintaining their memorial it's easier to add info when I find it and for other family to contact me to provide info. Please.
If you're not family I doubt you'll be researching her, so unless there truly is a contest on who has the most memorials I don't understand why anyone would not transfer a memorial to someone who says they are family.
Please don't take offense, I don't mean to offend, I'm just frustrated too trying to follow up on edits that don't get done :(

Yes, I noticed those numbers also.
I have also noticed that requests, suggestions, corrections all are ignored.
If you don't want to do them please notify findagrave and someone will tend to it for you.
Not long ago I photographed a cemetery you had posted and so far NO changes have been made for things that needed to be changed. I have now started another cemetery you posted and will have more requests. Which I hope you won't ignore.

The numbers don't lie, you don't honor requests of relatives for transfers...period. You are one of the "NUMBERS" people aren't you? All about how many you can post and control. You call people "demanding" only because you don't respond. Go visit the member International Wargraves, you will never catch them! Apparently you've had 50 pages transferred to you over time here. Yet you HORDE...selfish...this is not what Find A Grave is all about!
