Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am interested in the family history of my family & my husband's family.(I am originally from Adams,MN & he is from Hayfield, MN) We now live in New Ulm. Some family names are Hemingway, Lee, Hagen, Peterson,Aarhus, Gordon, Huseby,Torgerson,Lewison, Anderson, Johnson, Share

I first became interested in family history when I took a women's study class entitled "Our Foremothers". One assignment was to do an oral history with an older relative. Hearing the stories that my mom, my grandma & my husband's grandma had to share was priceless. The past became alive and names & dates became real people. I think my quest is bringing these stories and people to the younger generations that we will not lose this connection...and that our foremothers and forefathers will not be forgotten.

Vernon Wegner

I started another memorial for my first cousin Vernon Wegner..who was killed in WWII...buried in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, North Morristown, MN. My memorial is #130233598. I have a photo of Vernon on my site. Is there someway you can add that to your memorial?

RE: William Turcotte
you sent me a message:
William Turcotte
You left me the message....

"please see William Turcotte as father of Louis:"

Is my memorial for William Adolph Turcotte #134194386 a duplicate of the above memorial? If so, I can delete it.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I believe the memorial you created for William Turcotte is a duplicate. If you could delete it, that would be appreciated. The one I sent to you has the photo with grave marker on it. Also, if you could link his son Louis with the edit that I sent
Thank You !

Ben Marschner #154898669
In the same issue of the New Ulm Review (12/5/1916, I found mention of the celebration of the 81st birthday of Mr. Marschner. I thought you might like to see the little note.

Dorothy Anderson #143224592
Hello again. I have found a tiny obituary for Dorothy Anderson in the New Ulm Review of 12/5/1916. She was a 24-day old infant, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Albert Anderson. I believe this is the Dorothy of your memorial. I am attaching a link so you can review it.

Eva Klossner Mather #159859508
I enjoy reading the old newspapers at the Library of Congress website, and today I ran across an obituary for Eva Mather which contains a picture. It was in the New Ulm Review (New Ulm, MN) on 11/29/1916. It contains a great deal of biographical information, and lists husband and children. I am attaching a link below. I thought you might like to see it.

RE: James Kelley Jr. & Isabella Kelley
You're very welcome! My pleasure. If you are ever able to go to the cemetery, the plot is located towards the south-east side of the centre section, the south being towards the back of the cemetery. Glad I could be of help.

RE: Nina Hillestad Hagen Memorial
Thank you for your cooperation in this. Last Sunday was my last day as interim pastor at First Lutheran in Butterfield. While there I did this cemetery and another that looks like a part of it and another at Darfur. I did supplement what I had found with church records. But I'm done with both the congregation and the cemeteries so I don't need transfers. It's a pleasure to work with you.
