I have been working on family research for many years, and I've visited cemeteries looking for my family and my husband's family. I have posted all the related graves and photos and added them to virtual cemeteries. The vast majority of memorials I've added are for people not related to either of us. |
I enjoy photographing and documenting cemeteries, and I hope some of the memorials I add will help others with their family research.
Over the past few years, I have worked on documenting cemeteries in Dakota County, Minnesota, as well as adding photos to existing memorials.
I am also working on adding memorials for all the cemeteries and graves listed in 'Footprints in Time Tombstone Inscriptions in Tate County, Mississippi'. This book contains information for a lot of abandoned cemeteries, so I hope it will help someone looking for information on an ancestor.
If you have corrections for any of the memorials I've added, please use the Edit button on the memorial to submit your information. If you have questions, feel free to send me an email or leave a message.

Wasn't sure how to add his birth name to the memorial without screwing everything up.
Thanks for all the work you have done in adding the memorials for a lot of my relatives.

I would like to repost your gravestone pictures for the Lufi family on ancestry.com. I would of course give the photo credit to you. Please let me know one way or the other if I have your permission to do so.
Thanks for all your volunteer work; it's a great help!
Find A Grave # 71522254 has a photo on it that doesn't appear to belong. Memorial is for Veronica Seurer, photo is for Veronica (different dates) Welter.

Hi ----- Which is the correct cemetery for the Hall memorials ----(James, Lois, Albert, Claude, & Charles) All five were entered with grave photos in both the Shawnee Cemetery and also the Pleasant View Cemetery. Some have now been removed and some have been merged. Albert is still in both cemeteries. Which is the correct cemetery ?
|Danny Gagnon||RE: Houck's|
I do believe they are there but unmarked.
I will contact Corinthian when I have a chance and see about grave locations and possible markers.
I believe that Alfred & Effie(parents) and Orel(daughter) are buried in the same area.
Mike(possible brother of Alfred) is too.
Is there any way of knowing from the cemetery map
or someone local that knows? If they can be located, it may be possible to come up with markers.
I know that Alfred dying in 1941 presents the probability that his grave could be found, even if it is unmarked. Sounds like the use of concrete vaults were required starting in 1940 and a ground prod could be used to verify the grave location on the cemetery map.
This sounds like a lot to ask, doesn't it?
Thanks for looking for the Whittiers' headstone. Sorry you didn't find anything but good to know they probably are not marked. Steve
