Horton Cemetery
Sam, I made the trip to Horton Cemetery last week and only found 7-8 headstones and most of them are Sheffields. I've added the pictures I took to each of the people, except for Alexander Horton himself since someone had already put one up. Where did you get the listings for all the graves in Horton Cemetery you've added?

Horton Cemetery, San Augustine, Texas
Sam, I have run into several postings you've done pertaining to the Alexander Horton family and the Horton Family Cemetery in San Augustine, Texas. I was curious if this was part of your family and secondly, if you had been to this cemetery? My step-father was a descendant of this Horton line and have started adding them to my tree. I like to add in pictures of headstones when possible to people in my tree, and was curious that since you haven't added many to your Find A Grave pages have you been to the cemetery and if so are there headstones on any more of the graves? If you haven't been there and don't know if there are more marked Horton graves then I can make a daytrip and check for myself. I live a couple of hours away. Let me know.

Mr. Sproles: I am just starting some research on Kitty and W.H. Thompson, and my grandmother Bessie Thompson Peets. I just learned I was named after Kitty and saw your posting. Thanks!

William Chesney
Re: William Chesney in Sproles Cemetery in Holmes County. He is my great-great grandfather and I'm wondering how he ended up in the Sproles cemetery. I can't find anything in census records that link him to Holmes County. I appreciate any help you can give.

On the headstone photo you mention that Donnie who is buried with Claud is his son who died suddenly I believe that was Edwin. Donnie is his 2nd wife Ella "Donnie" Hodges.

William W. Horton's daughter
Do you know what happened to William W. Horton's daughter Susan P. from his first marriage to Amanda Teal? I believe she married my direct line relative Thomas Ardrey and they had several children, but then I'm not sure what happened. I saw a note that someone said he left for the civil war and never came back. Do you know what happened to her and the children?
