|I am retired. I have been doing genealogical research on my family lines for about 20 years. For the past few years I've put my research on the "back burner" but now that I've retired, I'm back into it. I enjoy going through cemeteries and each headstone tells only a very short history of that person's life. I now get to do several of my favorite hobbies, all at the same time, history, genealogy research, photography, walking through cemeteries, and motorcycle riding. |
Not all of the headstones I list are family lines. If you find a correction or have additional information, just let me know.
If you have any ATWELL'S and transfer them to me, I'll take good care of them, but I will not transfer any ATWELL'S.
In the future, please use the change buttons that FAG has provided. I do check these to see if they are correct, so if it seems to be in error, I will decline them.
I will not link unknown burials.

|Lisa Madler||Alto & Malissa Whitehurst|
Would you be so kind to tell us where the cemetery that Alto & Malissa Whitehurst are buried is located. We understand they are buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Abbeville, AL. I would love to come visit their graves and bring flowers.
|Tiffany Chrusciel||Thank you|
What families to you personally research? You have taken pictures of many of the cemeteries that my family members are buried in. Do you know anything more about Epworth United Methodist Cemetery in Barbour County? I visited and took pictures last summer. As I walked back further into the wooded area, I could see more graves that are hidden by nature including one that looked like a miniture of the Washington Monument :). When I pull up google earth, I can see possible grave markers in the areas that have not been cleared out and and possibly an old boundary line of the cemetery. Do you know if the church is going to work on that property to clear it out? Do you know if they hold records of people buried there that do not have markers? I have many relatives buried there and two that I suspect are buried there but have no proof. I have called them and no one answers the phone. I really appreciate all of your work. Thank you so much.

I was inquiring if you would transfer the memorial for Horace Riley to us...Riley Heritage. He is my uncle. I knew about the memorial but I never got around to asking until now.
I can then add more information about him, photos, & family links to his memorial.

|James M. Parkhill III||June Taylor Barker|
I am glad to have found this grave site, but saddened to that she has passed away. Her husband is a cousin of mine through. Dougs ancestor Stephen Barker who married my great grandfather's sister Martha "Ritha" Jane Parkhill in Lamar County, Texas. Enjoyed her many lettters to me regarding her family tree and Doug's also.
I would like to find out any who are their children to correspond to.
I think the comment there is correct - she died in 1839. Kinda curious that Sara's headstone has a Southern Cross of Honor symbol... so I'm thinking it's either a replacement and/or relatively recent.
