I'm a native Oregonian who loves a good mystery and a good search. I've been caring for the graves of my family and friends for many years and am always interested in the small places and personal stories of those at rest and those who wonder about them. I also have access to the state Archives in Salem and I enjoy finding old records that help to tell the stories of the sturdy pioneers who have helped our state and our country become special places.

Thanks so much for the picture of the marker for this Memorial. Hopefully there will be a permanent marker soon.
Have a wonderful evening.

Thank you VERY much for taking the time and effort to find the grave, take the photo and make the annotation. As I'm sure you know, the "unmarked" part is unfortunate, but it happens. The name is hard to read in the photo. Did you happen to notice if the surname was spelled "CHESTNUT"...with the first "T"? Some of the family members dropped it and went with "Chesnut".

Thanks again!!!
