Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working with my family and my husband's family for about 40 years. Have been to a lot of cemeteries and have requested a lot of photos for my own use and for those following after me. I don't go to cemeteries and take pictures for other people but I am always glad to share anything from my family with others. And if I have created someone they are probably related to me but I am always glad to transfer them to someone closer related. I live in Frankfort, Indiana and have lived here since 1951 shortly after I graduated from high school. I graduated from Thorntown High School in Thorntown, Indiana. Both my parents are from Washington Co., Indiana.
My family stems from father (Mounts) and mother (Roberts). My husbands family stems from father (Ellis) and mother (Beard)

RE: Heber R. Morris
Hi Carolyn,

I wanted to let you know that I have posted Heber's headstone picture on his find-a-grave page. Also, the information that he is buried at Franklin Cemetery is in error. He is actually buried with his parents, Thomas Newton Morris & Sarah Jane Trueblood Morris at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, IN. I hope this helps you a little.

RE: Mary Elizabeth Headrick Simerly
Hi, Carolyn

You're welcome. Are you related to Mary Elizabeth Headrick Simerly, or Mary Elizabeth Simerly that married Samuel H. Keller, if you don't mind my asking?

Mary Elizabeth Simerly
Correction: I meant to say that Mary Elizabeth Simerly's mother was NANCY Jane Tefeteller, not Mary Jane! Too many "Marys" to deal with! LOL!

Sorry about that.

Mary Elizabeth Headrick Simerly
Hi, Carolyn

In answer to your question, no, this Mary E. Headrick Simerly married my 1st cousin (3x), James Alexander Simerly, on Jan.31, 1885 in Blount County.

Now, the Mary Elizabeth Simerly that married Samuel H. Keller on December Dec.28,1887 in Blount County was also my 1st cousin (3x). She was the daughter of James Edgar "Hook" Simerly and Mary Jane Teffeteller. I haven't been able to find a date of death for her, nor a place of burial, but Samuel is buried in Old Piney Grove Cemetery in Blount County, memorial # 101136813.

RE: Frank Barthel
You are very welcome. Wish I could have been done more. I have taken pictures of the Barthel's in another section.

RE: Beard Cemetery, Carroll Co., IN
If you have a GPS the coordinates are:
40.46320, -86.62454

Take US421/SR39 to W550S in Carrol County - go East on W550S until you see the Yellow Beard Cemetery Sign (there should be a gate by the sign)

Now you have 1 of 2 options. You have to go off road. So you can walk it, or you can drive to it if the ground is solid. (I drove a Chevy Colbalt around to it, so it is dueable)

Just follow around the edge of the woods and about a 1/4 of a mile, you will see the cemetery gate.

I hope this helps you out, thanks for the message.
