I come from a long line of "storytellers" or keepers of family history. I was first inspired to study history and genealogy by my paternal grandfather, Alonza Nelson Parish, when I was a very young child. My maternal grandmother, Margaret Frances "Fannie" Mobley McElveen, was also a genealogist and lived to be almost 102 years old. She remembered stories of just following the Civil War. Other than Parish, Mobley, and McElveen, I am also researching Simms, Crone, Gay, Taylor, Wellons, Coor, Liles, Rhodes, Todd, Massey, Walker, McMillan, Jordan, Brashear, Coke, Corker, Fowke, Allison, Chambliss, Northington, Chappell, Briggs, McKee, Byrd, Tilden, Sutton, Briggs, Dye, Neil, Towns, Livingston, Clark, Ruffin, Windham, Bracewell, Harden, Mattox, Crouch, Wall, Ricker, Green, Powell, and Blair. I love to help other people find their family and honor their loved ones. | |

 | Harley Towns Thanks for the information on Harley Towns. It has been added. | | | lindsaytrips
 | RE: Thomas A.J. Mobley I will see if I can find that picture. I wouldn't mind deleting that memorial. I believe that he is the only Mobley buried there. If you have ever been to Beaver Creek, a large majority of the tombstones are from the Castles, Weir, and Banks family. I'm not sure if he was somehow related or if they just happened to attend this church. | | | John Evans

 | RE: Elizabeth Massey Todd Hi Nancy,
I would also love to know more about this family as not only is Moses Todd b/ 1775 in my direct line of my dad's grandfather's line, he's in my dad's grandMOTHER's line, as well! Their ancestors married cousins then their offspring married in 1873 in Arkansas several generations later.
Were the Massey's and Todd's Quaker?
Thanks for the note. Please let me know if you would want to share family tree info. Mine is online in Ancestry.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Margaret | | | Mary T.~AKA ~poe~

I have made the links to John Clayton Clark # 20942482, parents. Thank you for the links and the great info that you provided. I added that also. Are the Clarks buried in the Glenwood Cemetery the brothers that you mentioned? If you know where they are buried I will link them also. There are many Clark's located here. Blessings.
