Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am originally from Hartsville, Darlington, Florence area of South Carolina. I am related to the Watkins, Williams, Browns, Kelleys , Kellys, McDonalds, and many many more. This is a great site for building family history to pass on to our children and grand children. God Bless and have a glorious day!

Revelation 21:4
King James Version (KJV)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

P.S. Please take a moment to visit the memorial for Morgan Thompson . We went to High School together. Morgan was an orphan and had been living in the Boy's Home for a number of years. He had been talking for a couple of years about joining the Army as soon as he was old enough so he could get out of the Boy's Home. He joined the Army and came by school to show us his uniform. He had a smile from ear to ear! I will never forget how proud he looked in his dress uniform. He had just completed basic training and was on his way to Vietnam. A few short months later we got word that Morgan had been killed in combat. God bless you Morgan. You made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Freedom is not free. Through the sacrifices of many thousands of men and women like Morgan we have freedom. He was only 18! Cherish this freedom and never let it be taken away.

I appreciate all the memorials you have added, made additions to, and taken photographs of. You have truely completed some of my family history entries.

A simple thank you does not seem enough. Your kindness so embodies the mission of this site.

Smith Bennet Family
Hi Johnny,
I have family info on my parents and grandparents (Clyde Smith, Louise Smith, and large stone for Richard H Smith, Lark Abner Smith, and Rosa Bennett Smith. How can I get this posted? I will be happy to do it since I seem to be the family "historian" but am not sure how to gain access.

Thank you for all that you do -- you have been a true blessing to those of us who are out of towners!

Best,
Margaret Diane Smith Bowers

Hi, this is what I can tell you for certain per marriage records & census records. William E(on draft registeration Emory) married Avis Burkhatter & they were the parents of Grace Leverne & William Earle. I have no clue at this time of what relationship Katherine M Dean is to the family. After William E died Avis remarried apparently because I find a Georgia death certificate for her.

William Earle Duren & Grace LeVerne Duren
Johnny, first thank you for your work. I was stuck until I found your work. I need to know if indeed Grace's tombstone reads Mrs., because I have strong reason to believe that this is brother & sister buried with their father William E(mory) Duren. I have not found Wm Emory's wife Avis or Avie. Sara Cannon
