Amos W. Harding
Wondered if anyone knew family background of a Amos W. Harding of Des Moines IA. (1850-1907) In 1894 he was the manager of the Harding Supply Company, also in Des Moines. I saw an ad about the business Iowa State Bystander. Thanks.

I believe I have all the photographs posted. I created a virtual cemetery for them on my contributor page. I can't tell but it is supposed to be visible to the public. It's been awhile so I've forgotten any details. There might have been one or two I could not find.

I'm sure you saw findagrave memorial for an Ellen Harris who died in 1963 19331555. I suppose if she died in Calif unlikely buried in Arkansas!?

You are quite the researcher! And very much like myself, when I get hooked on a person or family I keep digging and trying to find ALL the puzzle pieces and even better if I can link findagrave memorials to everyone! Not knowing where she is buried I can only include the info you sent on Lorenzo's bio which might help others in future. That's why we do this! thank you so much!

Hi Jeanie, thank for heads up ....I missed that marriage. Do you have a memorial for Ellen perhaps? I'll add the info to his memorial. His age is claimed to be 65 in 1946 which doesn't agree with other records of birth year 1872. Do you agree? I only have him linked to Mary Leasure but would like to link to other wives if possible. thanks!

RE: Clark Burdick Memorial # 97014141
Jeannie - the memorial looks great! The other Sarah Burdick-Burdick is interesting to say the least. If I find any more evidence for, or to the contrary to the maiden name for Sarah Button, I'll pass it along. I know I saw one reference to it on one of her children's marriage or death records (online), but never looked for an additional source that would support this.

If only I could find a Button family in or near Alden, Erie Co., NY in 1840 or 1850 it would help. I've had no luck in finding her in the 1855 census (when Clark is alone in the Church household) which is really unfortunate. If she was born in NY, it would state the county she was born in.

My search is limited to Family Search though, as I don't have a paid subscription to Ancestry. I also have no clue who the C.B. footstone next to Anna Burdick belongs too. Thanks for your help along the way, it's so gratifying to put the pieces together.

Best to you and keep me updated on any findings. I'd be interested in seeing how this plays out :) Kathi

RE: Clark Burdick Memorial # 97014141
Hi Jeannie - Let me know if you want to copy the info I have on the C.B. bio. I won't delete it until I hear back from you. I wonder what happened to his 2nd wife; I don't see her listed on Find-A-Grave. I've also done some poking around in the 1840-1850 time frame in Alden and I can't find any family that has the surname Button (Sarah's maiden name). One would have to assume they met in the area. I guess that's why we do what we do. Always a puzzle :)
