Hello, just wanted to let you know that I input the smaller obit from the Chester Times. If I come across the full obit, I will let you know. Joz

I saw your pictures of the front of the cemetery from 4 years ago. I can't remember the proper way to request a photo of a grave marker (!). If you are ever at Cedar Hill again, I would love to get a picture of my grandfather's first wife's family plot. She is buried with her parents. Hers was a sad story. Her plot is 186, Section 2. Thanks so much.
I corrected Elsie's memorial.
The management of Mount Vernon does not make the records available to researchers. Also pictures are discouraged for the few visitors who gain access to the cemetery.
I am in Atlanta, GA, trying to piece together who is buried there.

Hi. Are you referring to the J. Irvin Taylor who is the husband of Emma B? If so, no I am not related but would be happy to transfer this memorial to you. Joz

Generally, I get the information from the monuments themselves. Then I run the names through ancestry.com and see if I can find the people. I will generally not post any information unless I find three points of connection. It is possible that I have made some mistakes in regard to the additional material, but I am always happy to make corrections, or give memorials to family members.
I understand that some, but certainly not all, of the cemetery records are available on microfilm at the main branch of the Enoch Pratt Library. I haven't gone to see them yet, but I will. I want to do more research on certain individuals.

Thank you so much for posting the photo of Andrew Jackson Grigsby. He is my great-great grandfather. I sent the link to my mother also and she is very happy to see the photo.
