|While searching for my Great Great Grandfather, James Oliver Hewitt, I realized and appreciate the difficultly some of us have in locating our family members and hope I can help someone in their search.|
My grandfather lived in northeast Kansas (Brown County) sometime around 1895 when he loaded a wagon with grain and struck out for St. Joseph, MO, never to be seen again.
He sold the team, wagon and grain and hopped on a train to Fairbury, Nebraska. The trail ends there.
I would enjoy hearing from anyone who may have a similiar story with the Hewitt name.

I appreciate your time to find and take this photo for Sarah Bates. It said she was 20 yrs old. That confirmed that is was the Sarah Yocum that I was looking for. It is to bad that Kansas does not her more records online. But naby of her fanily are in this cemetery. I just did not have her married name.

Initially, I thought you were a female. But by looking at the reverse of Bill Clarke's photo, I think you're a Dude! Looks like you're sporting a .45 ACP on your hip too? Thanx for the photo of Bill Clarke, it looks more complete now.

If you have the opportunity,.... Maybe you could also fulfill a photo reqest I have open for Wilby Warner "Bill Clarke" Clarke. He was a noted studio photographer in the Phillipsburg area for about 50 years. He probably has photographed your family.
