While searching for my Great Great Grandfather, James Oliver Hewitt, I realized and appreciate the difficultly some of us have in locating our family members and hope I can help someone in their search.

My grandfather lived in northeast Kansas (either Brown or Nemaha County) sometime around 1895 when he loaded a wagon with grain and struck out for St. Joseph, MO, never to be seen again.

He sold the team, wagon and grain and hopped on a train to Fairbury, Nebraska. The trail ends there.

I would enjoy hearing from anyone who may have a similiar story with the Hewitt name.

Initially, I thought you were a female. But by looking at the reverse of Bill Clarke's photo, I think you're a Dude! Looks like you're sporting a .45 ACP on your hip too? Thanx for the photo of Bill Clarke, it looks more complete now.

Hey Pat,

If you have the opportunity,.... Maybe you could also fulfill a photo reqest I have open for Wilby Warner "Bill Clarke" Clarke. He was a noted studio photographer in the Phillipsburg area for about 50 years. He probably has photographed your family.

Fort Leavenworth
Hi, I noticed that you've recently been shooting gravestones in Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. A couple of us have been working diligently for the past several months trying to get this cemetery completely photographed. Would you be willing to help? We have about 4,000 memorials that still need photos. Please say Yes. Thanks, Mary Ann
