Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching the Camp families for over 40 years as a request from my Grandparents, Otis and Litha Camp who raised me from an infant. I have visited many states and even been to Europe to get information. My wife is probably tired of me using our vacation time and money to visit Camp locations and cemeteries. I do this to keep the Camp memories alive and help us to remember them.

I had gotten started with Find-A-Grave a bit late; consequently, many Camp memorial had been already created. To all you wonderful people who created memorials and have graciously transferred them to me, I THANK YOU!! It should not be about who has the most memorials but rather placing the memorials with the family who will take care of them and add to them.

To all you wonderful photographers who have taken headstone photos, THANK YOU!! It all helps to honor our families!

In my spare time I publish genealogy books for others as well as for myself. I have published several books on the Camps of New England. I have finished my book on the Camp Families from Edward Camp; all copies have been sold so we are adding more recent information and creating a second printing. A DVD version will be available soon as well. Contact me if interested.

After 6 years of cancer remission, the cancer returned in 2013. I believe I am in remission again.

Hello Jim,
I pulled up his memorial and discovered I had accidentally created a duplicate. I had to delete the memorial. There is one for him and his wife remaining in the cemetery. Sorry.

Camps in Graceland Chicago
I contacted the cemetery staff by email and got the following response:
"Dorothy and Sadie H Camp are buried in Section "I" Lot 113 . Dorothy is in Grave # 5 and appears to be the only one in the lot with a headstone. Sarah, death 1/28/1904 at the age of 38 years, 10 months , 18 days is buried in Grave # 6. The nickname for Sarah is Sadie as she is listed in our records. Dorothy was 7 years, 5 months at death 11/14/1901."
I checked the lot, but see no sign of markers there in spite of what they wrote. Maybe the info provided will be of interest. Regards, Bob Lerch

RE: Glockner, Mary Jane @ Fairmount
Hi Jim, thank you for your wonderful note of the above. Makes me feel good when a family as made a connection with one of the memorials I have listed. Question: Is there anywhere I can reference the change in her name, as the headstone, you mentioned, is in error. Be happy to do that for you, I also, added her maiden name, CAMP. Also: there is a Albert B. Glockner, should he be linked to Clyde or Mary Jane? I can do that also if we know the connection.
Until then,
Your find a grave friend,
Fern

RE: Rev George L Camp
Hello, I have other Camps on the same stone as George L. Camp. These would have been his children. If you're interested I can send the photos of the stones to you and you can review them to see if the are your family. Actually there's quite a few photos. Just let me know.

Mayme Camp Maple Park Cemetery
You sent me this correction. BUT the information I have may indicate there is another Mayme Camp and not this one that you may know about.

I have updated her memorial and placed the location of her grave site on it. My source for her is the MO. Greene County Cemeteries, Maple Park Cem. page 38 of this two volume set.
