I have been doing genealogy(family history)for close to 40 years now and find it very enjoyable and a life learning experience. I hope that with the little bits I put on this site that it will help someone in some way sometime. Then I would say it would all be worth it. And what my dad always called cemetery hopping was really well worth it and this site appears as tho it can take a few hops out of process. I would be interested in hearing from those who are in need in ways I might be able to help and also if there is anyone who might be related to my families please get in touch with me.

I would like a picture of this headstone in Riverside Cemetery but cannot request one because there is a picture of the Riverside Cemetery sign that you took on his memorial. Do you have any idea how to correct this. I would appreciate your help. Thanks Jennie

Sarah Elizabeth Zeller
Hey Barb -- Mike Fero here. Helen Moore and Herman Newman's grandson.

I have a story to tell. Have been tracking my father's family (from NY state) and this woman (Sarah Zeller) is one of my relatives on the FERO side. I tracked her to Riverside (she lived in Merrill) and noticed your name under the photo! Small world, eh???

She had a daughter, Cora May, who married a James A. Easton in Merrill on Oct 23, 1888. I have the wedding announcement and it says they lived in Lakefield and were married by F. W. Link, although the ceremony took place at the bride's home, not a church. My father's sister (the geneaologist of her generation) wrote "Hannah's niece" in the corner. That's how I came to understand who she was and where she lived. Sarah was Hannah's older sister -- and my great great aunt. As far as I know, the rest of her family never set foot in Michigan. let alone the Saginaw area. Tha thing that amazes me is that Merrill is so close to Chapin and the Dan Moore farm. They may even had known each other -- long before my mother and father met in 1939 in Lansing.

Just thought you might find this interesting. Hope you are well. My dad turns 93 in December, lives in Texas, and is still spry and chipper.

Only folks in Owosso these days are Donna Moore Sanford Hebert and Scott Newman. Did have an email conversation recently with Charles Moore in Ovid.

Best regards! Mike
