Find a Grave ID

Bio

I have been interested in genealogy for a long time. I am not only researching my ancestral lineage, but my husband's and my siblings in-laws as well. I have put many memorial pages for all of these ancestral lines on Find a Grave.

I also have input many memorials from local cemeteries. I started adding them in hopes that I could help others in their quest for their ancestors. Anyone I input from Saline County, Kansas or a neighboring county are probably not related to me.

If you are related to any of the people that I have put into Find a Grave, I would love to hear from you. I will gladly accept additions/corrections/etc. to my information (help is always appreciated). If you are RELATED to someone I have input and would like to have their memorial transferred to you, send me a request via the 'edit' and then 'suggest correction' link on the memorial page. Be sure to include your Find a Grave user ID in your request so that I can transfer it to you. Please send a separate request for each memorial you want transferred. Find a Grave rules allow us 30 days to complete transfer requests. I will not transfer a memorial if your request does not include the following; 1) a link to the memorial page you want transferred, 2) your Find A Grave user ID, and 3) the reason you want the memorial page transferred. I don't have time to search for the memorial and then search for your user ID so that I can transfer it. If you want it, make it effortless for me.

Before creating a duplicate memorial of a page that I have already added to Find a Grave, follow the above instructions for requesting transfer of that memorial, and ask to have a memorial transferred to you. I can't believe the number of notifications I get from Find a Grave letting me know that they have merged a duplicate memorial into mine! Unless the original memorial added is in the incorrect cemetery, Find a Grave will almost always merge duplicate memorials into the original memorial. So, you don't gain anything from adding a duplicate memorial. You'll eventually lose it. Also, I will never intentionally add a duplicate memorial, and will be happy to remedy the situation if you point out to me that I have added one.

DO NOT SEND REQUESTS TO LINK FAMILY MEMBERS WHO ARE ALREADY LINKED! I can't believe the number of these requests I get.

Also, if you ask me a question in the messages, but don't allow messages to your profile, I will NOT respond to your question. I will not look up your email address to answer your question. It's only fair, and my time is valuable to me. If you don't want to make it easy on me, you don't want an answer to your question.

I also will not post transcriptions of obituaries that have been published within the last ten years. If you request one, I will delete your request. I do this to protect the identities of the living family members, as well as where those people live.
