The first entries I have made come from doing family research. (Darm, Schissler, Reihl, Johnson) I have snapped more photos while out there. If I have created a memorial for your loved one, please send me a note and I will transfer it to you.|
I love history and in Southern Maine you can't get away from it. We learned in school that the Pilgrims were the first settlers, but remember that the Indians that they met spoke English. Many of the original settlers are buried in small plots that are being taken over by the trees deep in the forest. I love to hike through the wood and find them. Sometimes winter is the best time.
So I encourage any of you gravers to visit Southern Maine and the seacoast of New Hampshire. There are so many cemeteries that are not even close to being documented. The names in these cemeteries are the same as most of the place names, schools, libraries, streets and roads around here. Researching almost any name will turn up interesting family lines.

Hello, What information do you have that Daniel Goodwin is buried here. I have
photographed this cemetery and I don't see evidence of unmarked graves. Also
the death date of Daniel seems to be well before the Goodwin family lived in this location.
Info was from a DAR book

Many thanks for the transfers, it's very much appreciated, & I will add information, etc.
|Debbie - CA||Maj John B Wentworth|
His death date is 1869 not 1969.
|Yvonne Gowen||Oak Grove Cemetery|
I have sent about 3 previous messages regarding the transfer of the Gowen and Goodwin memorials in Oak Grove Cemetery as I would like to update and family link our Gowen family.
You will not lose the credit for adding these memorials, it merely allows me the opportuntity to put this family together, as they should be.
I would appreciate an explanation why you do not answer my notes.

I transferred this memorial to your FindAGrave account. You now have the editing rights. I am not sure her parents are in the right order (Father and Mother).
I have McNulty's from Watertown CT in my family tree. I don't see a family connection, however.
