Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have worked on genealogy for a number of years. My family interests are Burnell, Utterback, Taylor, Burkholder, Burton, McColley, White, and Brown. Since retiring, I have become interested in Findagrave and have been working more on my "roots". Cemeteries have always fascinated me and now I have trouble driving by one without taking pictures. I am happy to transfer family, add or link or make corrections. Please do not enter duplicates. Please do not be a "collector" of graves. If you are NOT going to add information, do NOT request a transfer just to have the entry. I find it very important as much information is saved as possible especially photos of the headstones as so many are in poor condition. I love for family to find my entries.

Hi,
I've been trying to find the grave of Friedrich Heims in Mount Hope Cemetery in Palatine, IL. Can you give me any clue where it is? I just created a profile for his wife Sophia Mensching Heims but can't find his.
thanks

RE: Frank Bearden
Quite possibly. I know it depended on the person reporting or the person taking the information for documents that was the reason for so much misspelling. The information that I had put into the system came from one of Darrell Dexter's books to get them into the website before something was lost. He transcribes straight from the headstone as long as they exist! With Choate's cemetery there is graves on top of older graves as those tombstones were taken out and throw into a creek somewhere. I will keep looking and maybe find something somewhere! I hate having people not connected to their loved ones but information is rather scarce on the death certificates of those that lived at Choate.

Frank Bearden
I saw all your suggestions today as I've been out of school for the summer and catching up with my emails. You had mentioned that the father of Jasper Bearden's name was a Borden and so I went through cyberdrive to see if maybe there was a Frank Borden or even Bearden and there was! However, the dates would be completely off to be Frank Borden. I did search Tennessee as that is where his father is said to have been born and there is a Frank Bearden down there and possibly around the right age but not too confident on it. Maybe if I get the time this semester I can head into the courthouse and see if there is anything more on the death certificate. If you find anything else out please let me know! Also, thank you so much for the additional information on each grave.

Harold L Smith Memorial #10625114
Hello again,
I have been told by family members this morning, that the pictures of the headstone, the family picture and the obit is not for Harold L. Smith in my memorial (#10625114). The pictures belong to the Harold L. Smith in Graceland Cemetery, not my Harold L. Smith in Fairlawn cemetery. That answers the question of whether it was two individual men with the same name (which it is) or if it was the same person.
The family has said that they don't believe the Harold L. Smith in my memorial (#10625114) ever re-married after his divorce from Mayme.
Wanted to let you both know as I don't know if I can remove the info you both put in or if each of you have to remove your own info.
