|Linda Zapp||RE: August Austermiller|
I have no record of any child of August Austermiller with a burial date of Oct 15, 1881. I will check the newspapers and see what I can find. I am very suspicious because August and his wife, Deania (nickname for Benedicta Cecelia) were probably beyond the child-bearing days (she would have been age 47 in 1881). In the 1900 and 1910 censuses, she states she has 8 children, 8 living (I can account for all 8 of those children). For a long time, someone had August (Ernst August Austermiller) dying in October 1881. But, I have proven that was incorrect as I have 3 obituaries for him from the T.H. Evening Gazette, T.H. Saturday Evening Ledger and T.H. Daily Express (let me know if you are interested in these). August died November 12, 1881 in Indianapolis where he had gone for spinal disease. He was originally buried in Woodlawn, but on May 29, 1916 was transferred to Highland Lawn. If this were a child of August, wouldn't they have transferred both August and the "child"? August and Deania did have a son, John August Austermiller, but he was born in 1869 and didn't marry until 1901 (so I don't think a child of their son). If possible, can you tell me the names of any others buried near this child in the same lot?
Understood now. I fixed Clara, Mary and Rosela.
Elizabeth Orman Hauk isn't mine.

|In Search Of||Hazel, wife of Gilbert|
Is Gilbert Paul Davis, also buried with his wife Hazel Eureka (Rogers) Gilbert?? If you wish to transfer Hazel over to me, you can do it, as I do so many Find A Grave pages, I think I've grown up with these people.
