Each and every life is worth living, loving and remembering.|
My husband and I enjoy finding monuments for other people and am extremely grateful to the volunteers who have found my own people for me. We've been working on finding the little pioneer cemeteries in the area and putting their inhabitants online. Four of our memorial pages even helped to catch a gravestone thief. Cemeteries are extremely vulnerable to vandalism, theft, negligent cattlemen, and the damage of time and weather. We appreciate all of the volunteers out there who are working so hard to document them before they are lost to history.

I'm not a numbers addict or collector, but I adhere to Findagrave policy:
◊Find A Grave's primary purpose is a graves registration website.
◊Find A Grave's secondary purpose is a memorialization/remembrance site.
◊Find A Grave's tertiary purpose is a genealogical resource.
Transfers are only made within the guidelines set up by Find A Grave. "The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it." I am willing to consider transferring ownership to you if you have a close family member among my records. I rarely transfer relationships more distant than first cousin... just having someone "in my family tree" or "a relative" will not elicit a transfer.
If you want information added to a memorial, go to the memorial and use the "Edit" tab to send me the information-- including family links. I will add information to the memorial, I do not transfer just because someone wants to add links or other information. Bottom line: what are you planning on doing with the entry that I haven't already done or am unable to do?
On the other hand, if you upload family photos or in some other way add value to the memorial, I am much more willing to transfer. I will always transfer a memorial if you sponsor it.
I welcome all corrections to my own work. Some records were imported using OCR so have inevitable errors, both from the original records and from machine interpretation. I am only human and make mistakes, too, but will always make it priority to correct them.

Your kindness in helping join family back together is appreciated.
|Carol & David||RE: Kichline photos|
I made a mistake in my last message regarding your photo request for Cora Kichline. I need to see if she is buried in the same plot as Milton and his wife, Lucy Ann Kichline Dull, she was evidently re-married as an Elmer Dull is buried in the same plot. They appear to have gravestones from a website I use but not Cora in Section 5. Since she was Milton and Lucy's daughter, I thought she might be buried with them. I must have missed them on my sheets yesterday. I will let you know what I find.
|Carol & David||RE: Kichline photos|
You are very welcome as always.
In the Kichline plot. there was a headstone for Olga "Kraft" Kichline, wife of Edgar Kichline, with only a birth date of Apr. 11, 1898 and not a death date engraved. I found on Ancestry she died Nov. 13, 2001 at 103 years old. I will need to stop in the office at Easton Heights and see if she was actually buried here.
Milton and Cora Kichline who are buried in Section 5 may be buried with Lucy who has a gravestone. I need to find out the plot location to determine if they are buried with her in unmarked graves. I have not found their gravestones at this point.

Hi Carrie and Allen, I'm just wondering if her name is listed on one of the sides of Sylvester Cochrans' (Memorial# 48898442) headstone? How did you come about creating her memorial? You see, they had a son by the name of William Edgar. Hesters' brother, James Riley Fowler, Jr. and his wife Dora E Sinks adopted him after Sylvester passed. William Edgar Fowler (no memorial) and his wife Lora Faith Million Fowler (Memorial# 157642586) are my grandparents. No, I'm not asking for a transfer as I cannot give written documented proof. Government records weren't kept for births in 1902...unfortunately (family knowledge). I was just wondering if her name is on Sylvesters' memorial. Thank you for your time, Korky (#48813602).

Thanks again. I just feel that having a picture of the headstone completes the Memorial very nicely as well as giving additional information at times. Have a wonderful weekend.
