Lorenzo Danial Minear Hi Shannon: Would you please tell me your source material for Lorenzo's middle name. He's my great-grandfather and all we ever knew him as was L.D., he signed everything that way. To know what his real middle name was would mean a lot. Thanks for all your hard work. We appreciate it. Samuel Farrens Hi, I've been trying for years to prove that Henry Farrens is Samuel's father. What source and proof did you find? I can't wait to hear from you. I'd really appreciate any information you might have. Also, do you know who Cynthia's parents were. Many thanks, Robin Barnes
Bearce famly photo I just wanted to thank you for posting the wonderful picture of the Christopher and Rebecca Bearce family. While I am not a direct descendent of this family (father Christopher's grandfather Gideon was my 3rd great uncle), I still loved seeing that beautiful old photo. Thank you for sharing!
David and Olive Painter There daughter, Cecil was the first wife of my grandfather. I have a letter she wrote when her two girls were little. She died before Luroy had to go to WW1 and Alida took Aunt Virginia to Oregon while he went to Europe to fight. Do you have any idea where she died and when? I only have birth date for the month and year, do you know when she was born?
RE: Samuel Peery Family Photo The others in the photo are Dora's brothers, Albert Harold and Joseph H. Peery. Albert Harold is the one with the ribbon on his coat. The ribbon was a medallion that identified him as a member of the "Anti-Horsethief Association", which was basically a vigilante group that tracked down horse thieves. I'm not sure what they did with them after they caught them, but I can guess. The two younger women in front are Dora's older sisters, Rebecca Jane and Mary Myrtle, but I don't know which is which. There were four other brothers and sisters that died as children.
