Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research on my own since the age of 10 and helping my mother before that. I love traipsing through cemeteries and taking photographs, and especially making the connections so desperately needed! Although I do live out of state, I do most of my research around the Springdale, Cedar County, Iowa area (my hometown area), but also have research plans going in Clay County and Cook County, Illinois and Morgan County, Ohio, among others.

I am Larry, I am married to Judi who's mother was Elizabeth Jane Grandt, daughter of Fred and Margaret Grandt. Fred's parents were Heinrich and Katharina (Buthman) Grandt. You last updated Heinrich and Katarina's Finda a grave. I was wondering if you wanted to connect up via computer, we live near Minneapolis, I have a great deal of information on the Grandt Family, i can be reached here, or at
Thanks Larry Boller

Welcome for the photo, but what happened to the bio if you say there was detailed information? I do a lot of research on people who are not related to me so others may benefit.

John Cochran memorial update
Thank you for your message about my memorial for John Cochran. I went to the Jefferson county courthouse this morning and looked up his 1876 probate file, and did find information that helped to clarify his death date. I've updated his memorial now with that information - you might want to review for your interest. I also tweaked some of the bio references to his children since they now have relationship links in place (I'm not always notified when suggested links are actually done by other contributors).

You are absolutely correct regarding her two marriages and parents. I found her obituary which confirmed. I added her parental links and corrected her maiden name to Weaver. Thanks for sending the edits! It helped to get her information correct.

RE: Zella Smith & Family
I'm sorry, the family tree goes by the woman's maiden name and I mixed it up. Her married name is Statler, memorial #70481356. Her husband is Robert W Statler. I think that may be it, but some of her other relatives are buried in Overman too (different last names) and I may run across more. They were a big family with lots of girls who married and had different last names and I've been going through them now (almost daily) for 3-4 weeks at least.

Zella Smith and family
Thank you for taking photo's of the headstones. I know it takes a lot of work. Would it be alright with you if I could use your photo's on my family tree on Ancestry? I will be sure to give your credit for the photo's and they came from Find A Grave.
