RE: Reed
When the date is added to Sylva's marker I'll post an updated photo.

You are correct--this is a duplicate. This is my aunt and I added her to get all the aunts and uncles with their parents; I failed to notice that you had this one entered. If you do not have a connection to Aunt Pauline, would you delete your memorial since mine contains the obituary from the newspaper. Just let me know what you would prefer to do.

I have transferred the memorial as per your request. I prefer that they be in the hands of interested relatives, regardless of actual relationship.

RE: McAninch
I am not for sure if this is the Martha that is George's spouse, I did see the date is off from the stone and memorial page in Find a Grave, if this is her, there is a mistake from either one, I can talk to the Sexton and see if I can find out for you if you'd like.

RE: Kurtz
Well, if you are related to these Kurtzes, then we must be cousins. How are you related to Henry Kurtz? He is the only one that I am related to directly, but it is further out than g-grandparents. I thought I told you how I was related in my last message. Please email me directly at I would love to continue the conversation about how we are related without clogging up my message board.

What about the Vesper's that I asked you about? Would you be able to transfer those?

Thank you so much!

Henry Kurtz
Hello! I am descended through a son, George, who is not buried at Zion, but moved to North Dakota. Yes, Carl/Karl is Henry's son and so is Jacob (the older one). I would love to maintain all the Kurtz memorials that you have. Would it be possible to transfer to me?

I am also descended from Carl Christian Vesper and his wife Caroline and would great welcome the Vesper memorials that you currently have as well. I am a long time genealogist and have much documentation on my family.

Thank you so much!

Elizabeth is my wife's great grandmother so we're not interested in transferring her memorial. We are interested in knowing about you husband as he must also be a cousin of my wife. Our email is if you could contact me via email, I'd love to share other info with you and perhaps find out more from you.

Dennis Foley
Thank you for fulfilling my photo request for Civil War veteran Dennis Foley buried at Maple Row Cemetery.

Kent Kooi and I have been researching the men of the 4th Iowa Cavalry for over three years, and in addition to updating their memorials, we are preparing a presentation to donate to several Iowa county historical societies. We would like to ask permission to use your headstone photo of Dennis Foley on his page in our presentation. We would credit the photo as "Courtesy of Rosalie" or your full name if you wouldn't mind providing.

Please let me know, and thank you again for fulfilling the photo request.
