Mattie Gordon
location
Can you tell me why this cemetery listing says it's located in Hickman County and the picture of the cemetery sign says Fairview, TN?

How would we correct this?

RE: Bishop-Warren
Bob, yes, Warren & Mary Ellen Bishop are Ollie's parents. Quite a coincidence that his brother, John Riley Bishop's wife was named Mattie. Pretty close to being Mettie. I found that John Riley was buried at Lyles in an unmarked grave from a book about Taylor Funeral Home records, Dickson,TN. That's where I found out about all those other Parker's also. I haven't been able to add photos lately because the memory on my phone is full. I attented a Bishop reunion recently, met some Bishop-Bradford cousins that I had never met before. Took them to Lyles Cem.& showed them James Burton & Roena Bishop and Warren & Ellen's graves. One woman was a granddaughter of Marion Francis Bishop (Harpeth Hills Cem.), the other was a granddaughter of Mary Ann Bishop Warf (Kellough Cem.) & an older couple. I wanted to take them to McFarlin-Gossett, but they didn't have the time, what with them living in different counties. Tim

Questions on Barnhill Family
Hello!
I was wondering if I could email you. I have questions regarding the Barnhill family. My Grandmother, Pasty (Norris) Davis, her mother was a Barnhill. Her mother's name was Edna Barnhill (She married Ernest Lee Norris). Edna's parents were A. H. and Sadie (Herman) Barnhill (or as I have found (Absalom Harrison and Sarah Viola). Absalom or A. H.'s parents were I believe Benjamin Jr. and Frances "Francie" A. (Dunlap) Barnhill(Benjamin is buried in Pea Ridge, I'm not sure where his wife is buried). I believe Benjamin's parents were Benjamin Sr. and Elizabeth (not sure on maiden name) Barnhill (also have no clue were these two are buried). Benjamin Sr's parents were James and Winifred "Winney" Rachel (Roberts) Barnhill (they are believed to have been buried in or near Hickman but their bodies may have been destroyied/stolen-this is what I've found anyway). James' parents were Samuel (Marcus?) and Jane (Craig) Barnhill (both are buried somewhere in Virginia-again what I've found). Samuel's parents were Robert and Sarah (Smith) Barnhill (Robert is buried in Deep Run Presbyterian Church Cemetery and his wife is somewhere in Bucks County, PA-again what I've found). Robert's parents were Samuel Barnhill and I haven't found who his mother was. Samuel is buried unknown (on find a grave memorial #88246502 is what/where/how I found Samuel). Again, I have many questions on this family just want to know if I should just ask them on here or email you or you can email me. Either way I would love your help. My email address is tbutler024@mail.northark.edu.Can't wait to hear from you!!
Thanks for your time,
Tiffany

Bob, I believe I found Ollie Bishop. His full name was Patton Oliphant Bishop 1888-1979, buried at Fairlawn Burial Park,Hutchinson,Reno Co.,Kansas, & a wife Mary Johanna Bishop 1893-1978. A Bishop relative on facebook gave me the info, Tim

Green Cemetery
Good Morning,

My family will be visiting Nashville in a few weeks. We plan to do some cemetery hopping. Can we just go to the Green Cemetery or do we need someone's permission. I know it is on private property and we have always just made sure we closed the gate and trudged up the hill. It has been quite a few years since I have been down your way. Looking forward to our visit, always feels like I have come home. (My mother was born in Jingo, now Fairview).

Thanks for your time,
Christie Rellinger
