Retired military and living near Antietam battlefield. |
IF YOU NEED FAMILY LINKS MADE, PUT YOUR REQUEST HERE. MY EMAIL ACCOUNT HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING SOME ISSUES. THANKS
I have often complained to FAG regarding memorials turned to crap due to those who have little skill with doing photos. If they post em up as if they were being posted on their own memorials....MAYBE they wouldn't be so crappy. Too often I see MANY of the memorials I created suddenly sprout terrible photos. Examples are # 121617731,memorial#96333005,#73021427,#73021907,#88159116,#81956750, #80664761 & #87999963. I did go back and put what I felt was a good photo or two on em.
Unfortunately, some people go out & shoot a whole cemetery in an afternoon. Once they post their work....it shows they are out for numbers and the memorial be damned.
If I have added a family member or a good friend, I am happy to transfer memorials. I am not bothered by F.A.G. guidelines in transfers. I am concerned about getting family members "back together." I DO transfer distant relatives since they SHOULD be with family.
I am also happy to transfer memorials of close friends as well as family.
PLEASE DON'T "TRASH UP" MEMORIALS I CREATED WITH POORLY SHOT PHOTOS!
If you are contributing photos to any memorials I have added to Findagrave, please put on good QUALITY photos, not badly cropped or off center ones I have seen WAAAYYYY too often!
If I have photos to upgrade otherwise "SUBSTANDARD" photos on any memorials I will be sure to add them.
REMEMBER, these sites are in memory of someones' ancestors. If you place a photo on a memorial, make it good enough that you would be happy with it on your own.
All men die.........not all men really live.
West Virginia Records: Birth, Death & Marriage
I am looking for Charles & Flo Liddington. Flo died in 1972. Charlie was alive in 1974. They were my mothers' mother & step-father.
I believe they lived modestly within a half hour of Danville, PA.
Also, I am searching for any info regarding the roster for the 33rdBattalion of the Maryland Militia. An ancestor I am searching for, Thomas Mock, who served with this unit in New Jersey in 1777 under George Washington. He had a wife names Sarah and parents were George & Catherine Mock. They were from "SUPPOSEDLY" living between Sharpsburg and Middletown, Washington County, MD.

|sva||RE: Carpenter, Albert H.|
Thanks - after further research I found one of the military records that says his name was Albert Haydock Carpenter. But it appears to be wrong. All local records, including census, vital records & enlistment & family records all refer to him as Haydock/Haddock Carpenter.
There was an Albert Carpenter from this area also, but he survived and returned home.
Thanks for the permission to use the gravestone photo, but after printing it I found that it was very difficult to read in the size that is needed - so will probably use the entrance sign along with him listing.
You serve a real need getting these photos online - bless you for that!

Ken, can you take the picture you posted on memorial 69589891 and repost it on 69589892. The markers are for the same person, and I'm trying to combine the memorials.

|Judy Wilcox||Pvt. Frederick Wengert# 51381117|
Thank you oh so much for the memorial of Frederick who is brother to my husband's Great Great Grandfather Michael Wengert who was also in the civil War,buried in Burnside Cemetery in Lapeer Co., MI. I left an edit to connect Frederick's mother to him and his siblings should also connect. His father, Leonard Wengert died in Germany and his Mother remarried, traveled to Canada then U.S. She didn't live long after his death which was Aug. 31, 1868. It may take a while another person, Anonymous has management and is a bit slow.
Thank you again for making this memorial.
Have you been a dick all your life or just since birth?

|Aften Fairbanks||Davis in Bakersville cemetery|
Thank you SO MUCH for taking and posting those pictures of Eliza and Annie Davis from the Bakersville cemetery! I live in the West and am in college so it would be very difficult for me to go there and take the pictures myself. Thank you again for the time that you spent to go and find those graves and get the beautiful pictures!!
