I am new to Find A Grave, but have been researching my family for over 30 years. It started with family stories and has led to making contacts with relatives I didn't know existed. I think this is a great way to honor your ancestors and bring families together. I love history and am entering data for the cemeteries that I have information on.
If any of the people I have entered are your relatives, contact me using the edit link and tell me how you are related and I will transfer management to you.
My family comes mostly from Pennsylvania and Maryland. Surnames from my family include: Arrington, Bonebrake, Carson, Cerfass, Cearfoss, Hipsley, Hobbs, Kendall, Parlett, Sehman, Venrick, and Zerfass.
Another project that I am working on is identifying the burial place of those who do not have grave markers in the county that I live in. The families should know where their loved ones are buried.
Pinesville Historic Cemetery Hi there, I noticed that you've created memorials for the folks buried here, and I'd like to take pictures to go along with your memorials, but I don't know where the cemetery is! Could you let me know, please? Thanks!
Wrong information Although the information was neat and appear correct, you listed my grandmother as my great grandfathers step daughter. You did not pull the death certificate because it clearly states Eleanor was his daughter and my mothers, mother.
When you post wrong information that is not good. She died at a young age and Rev Scott gave the information with her husband.
Please make sure you go to www.kSU NAACP oral history project and go to Mary Cater, Gwendolyn Dillard, Miriam Culver, and Susanne Henry's name. Dr Scott did much history for Kennesaw State University.
Peter Mascara Hello, I was wondering where you got your Information on Peter's burial, He was my great uncle & a Vet. I want to get him a marker from VA.I have been looking for him for 6 years Thank you for putting him on here, Michael
Burton J. Adee birthdate Hi Mark, Please change the birthdate for Burton J. Adee (Find A Grave# 92141972). He is shown in the 1870 US Census for his father, Stephen S. Adee, as a son 6 years old, and in the 1880 Census as 16. These 2 entries would make his birthdate about 1863, not 1853. If there is a headstone for him in Elmwood Cemetery or cemetery records, perhaps the month and day can be confirmed; nothing in the censuses show his full date of birth, so I cannot advise you on the month and day of birth. Thx, Bill
RE: Terrell Robert Sewell and 2 Marys Yes, it did. I was really confused and even though I knew she was in the census, I had no clue who her mother was. I figured that he had to have been married before for his wife to be 21 and his oldest child to be 10. Thank you.
RE: Lucy Green family information Thanks Mark. I already have that information. I really want to connect with more of her descendants. Please let me know if anyone else contacts you about her. Keep up the good work.
