RE: Loniel Carr
Well, the interesting thing is that via memorials without a (sur-)name on Findagrave can be accessed (a name MUST be entered on Findagrave!) and so they can be researched e.g. either via Soc. Sec. Death Index (or censusses, etc.) on (free!), or name(s) read from the gravestone photo, which - to my surprise - could not be read by the contributor.
If I can read it from a photo, then why could people not read the name from the gravestone, which should always be better quality than a photo?
To be positive and to answer that question: Often gravestones are photographed in bulk, then read and entered to Findagrave at home. If it is difficult to read: skip (i.e. name=Unknown), and continue with the next one, as there are a few hundred waiting.....
Also: name Unknown... Well, it is just under the grass near the edge of the gravestone... why not cut the grass away? Too much trouble.
And: gravestone unreadable... Well, photographers should always have a mirror or light source with them to shine light at an OBLIQUE angle over the letters, which will then be clear to read!
So, many more can still be identified.
Have a nice day.

Hi there,

Would you mind correcting the name on memorial #70159405 please to reflect the correct spelling? It is currently noted as "Squier" and should be noted as "Squires".

Thanks so much!
