I have been working with family history since 1988. |
I am working on the Townsends, Harveys, Reids, Phinneys, Robertsons, Ayers, Blackabys, Saunders, Lakes, & Bagwells.
If I have a memorial listed that you would like transferred to you, feel free to contact me. If I am not related I will gladly transfer. I believe if you have more info than I do, then you deserve to manage the memorial. If you want or need a memorial feel free to ask me, and if it is not one of my family, I will be glad to transfer. If you only transfer following FAG guidelines, then don't ask me for a transfer.

LAS is my great grandfather. Do you have any information in regards to why they left Alabama? I would like any information on the family as I do not know why the family moved eventually all the way to Texas. Thanks-Lin

|Wanda & Diana||Transfer Request|
I am writing to kindly request the transfer of my great grandfather's memorial. It is William W Burke, memorial number 108780799. William was married to my great grandmother Mary Ann Mayo. They were married August 23, 1883 in Cherokee, Texas and had 6 children. I am descended from their son (my grandfather) Lonnie H. Burke. If you would graciously transfer William's memorial to me would be greatly appreciated. My member number is 47787438.
Thank you, Wanda

I still have one HS friend in Altus, I'm going to call him and have him look in the phonebook. Maybe I can find a relative and get lucky and find an obit or photograph. I recall his funeral in 1977 as though it were yesterday.

I'm writing this message about Lindsey Royce Hunter-27582412, one of your people. We went to Altus High School in 1977. He was the handsome Rockstar football player all the girls loved, and most of the guys wished they were. He had the popularity like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, which was the current movie at the time. Lindsey drove a dark blue 69 Chevelle SS with a 396 cu in. He was hot-rodding down one of the dirt roads near Altus, out in the country when he crested a small hill and rear-ended a farm tractor, killing him instantly. I am amazed with as much time has past, nobody has come forward with an obituary or photograph for his memorial.
|Mary Lou Ayers||RE: Ayers, Ayres|
O my gosh. I love Arkansas...but not necessarily are who are from Arkansas. We continue to pray for him & his family. My Aunt lived in Cherry Valley & thought the world of him. Fortunately, she died before his disgrace. God is merciful.
Would love to connect. My son, Curtis, is getting married Sunday & I am on overload. Prayers are appreciated. She is a saint, no drama, low maintenance, and a Christian young lady. I am blessed to have her join the family.
Can't wait until we can chat & share.
Have a great Father's Day weekend.
Mary Lou Ayers...kin folk I guess

As the story goes 2 cousins married one spelled it Ayres the other Ayers. My Dad's spelling was Ayers even though his Father's side spells it Ayres. The Ayers in Mississippi is probably from Moses & Rachel Ayers group which I'm a distant cousin. Most of my Ayres side is living in Missouri & Arizona. I think they repopulated the area in Arizona and have spread to California.

You are welcome, and thank you for the kind words. I agree with everything you said, I believe that everyone should be remembered with a place that says I was here, sad that there are so many unmarked.

|Tony Abruscato||George D Polston|
Could you please transfer George David Polston to Tony Abruscato (#48420883?
George was my great grandfather from his first child, Fannie Eudonia Polston with his first wife Margaret Caroline Brandon.
|Bud||That should do it for now.|
Well, on the Browns I sort of got into the Browning before I realized I finished the Brown's.
You can hold on to them, or send them on to Find A Grave by transferring them to number '8'.
If any I send to you that you do not want to hang on to just use the old "8" ball number.
Unless, if they are from Walton County, GA. then you can pass them on to Donnie 47170616. I was doing the transfers of all of the county to Donnie when we got envolved. He is going to be the County Care Taker.
Coffee, lunch or somtin on the road sometime sounds like an idea for sure.
Take care, and if you need any others just give an old Mountaineer holler. I jump at that.
