My husband and I are working on documenting cemeteries in Washington County and Western Frederick County. |
NOTE: I am hesitant about transferring to anyone who is a new member of FAG, or someone who maintains very few memorials. The reason is because I've found that often someone will sign up, quickly request transfers of all their family members, then get bored and not respond or make corrections after the newness of the site has worn off. Please consider using the "virtual cemetery" feature to gather your family together.
All edits, corrections and links are welcome.
I also want to thank two FAG Contributors, Eloop III and Genealogy Nut, for helping me with obituaries and family links.

|Linda Reed||RE: Dorothy Shaffer 120264794|
your welcome, Dorothy was my uncles first wife, he was married 3 times. On his tombstone his name is spelled Sanford, but it was Santford, my cousin and wife bought the monument and spelled the name wrong, but it was a nice gesture of them to pay for the marker.

April 16, 1915.--- … SISTERS DIE 60 HOURS APART AT BRUNSWICK.
On April 7, at 1:13 a. m., Martha E. Montague died at Brunswick, from pneumonia. On the afternoon of April 9, her twin sister, Mary Elizabeth Montague, died of the same disease. When the second sister died, Mrs. Fred. Isbel, a niece of the deceased twins, collapsed. The sisters were the last of their immediate family.
The same funeral service, conducted by the same minister, in the same church at the same time, and with interment in the same cemetery, was held last Monday morning at nine o’clock for Mary Elizabeth Montague as was held for her sister, Services were held in St. Francis Catholic church, Brunswick, and interment was made in the Reformed cemetery at Knoxville, where the other sister was buried. I cannot account for the death date discrepancy between newspaper aarticle and headstone.
|Gloria Jennings Lowrey||Thank You|
I can't remember if I thanked you or not for the recent photo that you posted on the memorial for Donald Polack, buried at Rose Hill Cemetery. If I did, then consider yourself doubly thanked! The photo looks great.
Thanks for all your great work on this family.
