Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy researching family history and going to old cemeteries. Some of the names I'm researching are: Armstrong, Bales, Bassett, Bruce, Clark, Cline, Cochran, Day, Drake, Frey, Handy, Hardy, Hart, Seifert, Shomo, Smith, Stalnaker, Taylor, and Walters.

I love genealogy. Whenever I'm at a cemetery looking for one of my ancestors, I take pictures of headstones that are nearby and hope that maybe their relatives will find them on here someday. Findagrave has really helped me in finding missing pieces in my family tree. I will gladly transfer a memorial to you if you're related.

Yes, that would be fine; although I appreciate all you have done.

Your dog is adorable! I had the fun and pleasure of a Cairn terrier for 18 years! Tony Brian - Scottish for sure!

Thank you again!

RE: Owen & Minnie Prescott
Thank you Angie: and yes that would be great if you would transfer Owen & Minnie. They are both STALEY descendants --- that family is one of those Morgan Co, Indiana families that originated in and around Randolph Co, North Carolina. My number is: 47324296

Hi, Angie.. updates re: floyd project
Hi, Angie

this is Joseph in Reno, Nevada. I hope you are fine and all is well.

I'm going to be in Indiana for a day in April and I plan to visit Floyd's and Hazel's grave. Thanks so much for your work on finding Floyd's.

Been working on the project! Wrote a 75 minute theatre musical about Floyd.. takes place on the night of the execution.. using a choir to portray the Methodist church choir in Indiana...

got standing ovations at each performance ( did 5 performances thus far)

didn't know how audiences would react.. but tears galore.. cheers.. ovations...

then I filmed a discussion panel show with my guests .. about the death penalty and about juvenile imprisonment in America... and we are editing about 5 scenes from the theatre show into the discussion

should be done in a week... and I'll make sure you can view it..

Floyd's story sure has been influencing people.. we had audiences with people from throughout the USA, Israel, Denmark, Thailand.. etc.. one performance was for 400 social workers from across the country at a national conference on social workers.. didn't know how such an audience would react.. but they were on their feet cheering before the final minute of the show and then many told us about their own tragic stories about juveniles in their families and the prison system

well.. at one show.. a woman who I never met before.. came to me and told me she had spent years researching Floyd's story.. and actually met his grandma... but what was surprising... is that the boy he was with when the shooting of the man took place.. that boy grew up and became a criminal.. but his son told the lady that before he died.. the guy told his son that Floyd didn't commit the crime for which he was executed for.. but that HE did it and Floyd took the rap ..

well.. was thinking of you... lost your email address... so the reason for contacting you via this site...

hope all is well... thanks.. Joseph

Sarah Carrell
We have been trying to record and restore several cemeteries in Morgan County. One of them is the Williams-Bradford in Green Twp.. While working out there, we were able to find the rest of this stone for Sarah Carrell. There are two Sarah Carrells buried in this cemetery and we expected this to be the Sarah King Carrell as well. As it turns out, this is the Sarah Swinford Carrell stone. If you could move this to the other Sarah Swinford Carrell memorial #109656860 in this cemetery, that would be wonderful because it would show the progression of the restoration. We will be putting these two pieces together and resetting the stone. THanks so much for all the work you do for Find a Grave.
