|Marilyn Kenyon, Psy.D.||RE: Chenango County Cemeteries|
Thanks for your reply. So, Brackel (or Brakel) Road did become Route 23. That would explain why someone referred to what is now Kenyon Cemetery as Brackel Rd. Cemetery at one time, because it was the cemetery on Brackel (Brakel) Road.
If you check out the cemetery, I look forward to learning if there are any headstones still remaining or if it is in any condition to surmise any headstones.

I see that you photographed many of the listings in Brackel Church Cemetery, including those of Jonathan Kenyon, Jr. and wife Susan Lord Kenyon.
My question is this:
Jonathan Kenyon, Jr.'s parents are Jonathan Kenyon and Martha. I currently have them listed as buried in Kenyon Cemetery, which is located on County Road 23. Another Kenyon researcher has them listed as buried in "Brackel Rd. Cemetery" not to be confused with Brackel Church Cemetery.
I am assuming that Brackel Rd. Cemetery is synonymous with Kenyon Cemetery.
A map to Kenyon Cemetery is shown on this link:
Can you shed any light on the Kenyon Cemetery and whether it is the same as the Brackel Rd. Cemetery? To your knowledge, has County Road 23 ever been referred to Brackel Road? Thanks for any information you can provide.

May i have your permission to download the photos of the gravestone of Eliakim Corbin (Memorial# 92409288)?

Thank you for your response
|Gerene Lord||Roswell Lord & Hannah|
Jim, we are from the family of
Roswell Lord & Huldah Graham-Lord of Yates Co NY.
This Roswell is the one that went to Tazewell Co Il.
I have done extensive research on this family and married to his ggggrandson. I have spent hours on Ancestry writing to researchers that have mixed up the two Roswell Lords, giving them cemetery locations, etc and asking them to correct their postings with no response. I can not understand if they are researching why they do not correct their information.
And why people will copy someone's information without verifying it.
I am glad to see that you on Find-a-grave you have also brought this mixup to the attention of
I still do not know if he died in Tazewell Co IL and have been unable to verify his death there.
I always have hope that the correct information will show up sometime. The cemetery there has told me there are only sandstones at a lot of the Lord graves. Thanks ago for your postings to Find-a-Grave Gerene Kinney Lord

Our cousin passed away last May. He compiled the Watson Genealogy in NNY. I corresponded regularly with him and miss it. Charlotte

I will contact Find A Grave and have the name corrected to Allen Cemetery as it was on Dr. Allen's homestead.
I will try to get my Aunt Mary Dexter to take me back to the Reuben Simmons marker, "Indian Doctor", in the spring. She had located it in 1976 and it was still standing. I think I was with her as we walked through a field to it. I went to many locations with her, and at 10-12 yrs of age I do not remember all of them LOL.

I see that you have added the photo's for this cemetery. Did you created it originally?
I was looking at the readings from 1940's & 1976 research and think that this may be the "Allen Cemetery" located in Lot # 76. In 1941 there were 4 stones and research showed up to 25 other interments.
From all research the Lydell (Lidell) cemetery, lot #66 was not located. Buried there was only Simeon Lydell and his wife Ruby Allen (sister of Dr. Ichabod Allen - buried at the Allen cemetery with no found headstone).
"Max" had listed 3 of the graves at Lidell in 2008.
