Bio and Links
Bio Photo People have been submitted by spreadsheets over the years. Attempts have been made to eliminate living people and duplicates. If you believe a living person is included, you should submit proof to me via findagrave correction. Just because there is no date on a headstone does not mean someone is alive.

Google and other searches do not prove someone is alive, I can google many people in my tree that google would show to be well over 100 years old that I know in fact are dead.

Do not ask me to transfer if you are not related it will not happen!!!

You must love it when another volunteer on this site tries to get you in trouble for things when they violate FAGR rules everyday

Yes, I know there is an edit button no kidding. I will get to it as I can. Fortunately, I do not live on this site.

While I have thousands of memorials at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Rochester. They are all added based on the actual records in the office. In many cases these records only listed people as Mr. Ms, Miss. exc... I choose to leave these records as they are unless someone has added a headstone and the dates match the cemetery index I have in my posession.

Unfortunately I used to change them as unknown but I have learned over time people assume they are there family when in fact they are not and the dates do not match at all per the records of the cemetery.

Because of this reason it takes me some time to vent the record changes at this particular cemetery because I look each and every record up as time allows to ensure the accuracy.

While other Unknown Selfridge may try to say he is the official "Dick Tracy" of the Selfridge clan when he has in fact taken much of my information and claimed it as his own!!!! When I have spent thousands of dollars and thousands of hours researching this family. If there is anything you would like to know about the Selfridge family please feel free to ask.

I just wanted to thank you for posting her grave.
I have been searching for her for a long time, there really isn't too much information on her, she died young, but at least I found this. I do have a question for you tho, you say the information you get is from office records, is what you posted all the information that was there, no mother or father, husband? I will appreciate any information you can add or any suggestions for me to further my search.

RE: Permelia Stafford
My update suggestion was regarding her middle name, not her maiden name and I based that suggestion on her obituary ...

From Geneva Daily Times 4 June 1904

Shortsville, N. Y. - Relatives living in this village and vicinity attended the funeral of Mrs. Permelia Adeline Stafford, which was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Potter, of Farmington, this afternoon at two o'clock. The burial was in the family lot in the Palmyra cemetery. Mrs. Stafford, who was the wife the late Nelson Stafford, was born in Steuben county in 1818, and after her marriage, which took place when she was but sixteen years of age, she became a resident of this vicinity, where most of her life has been spent. For several years she has passed the summer in Farmington and the winters in Shortsville. Mrs. Stafford died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Potter, of Farmington, at an early hour on Thursday morning, after an illness of one week's duration, at the advanced age of eighty-six years, survived by four children, Mrs. Addison Lane of Shortsville; Mrs. James Potter of Farmington; Augustus Stafford of Rochester; and William H. Stafford of Canton, Ohio; one brother, George Conklin of Livingston county; one sister, Mrs. James Stafford of Ritchies Corners, near Albion; six grandchildren, Nelson Bement, of Palmyra; George Lane of Shortsville; Frank Potter of Buffalo; Charles Potter of Shortsville; Frank Stafford of Rochester; Clinton and Etta Stafford of Canton, Ohio; and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Stafford's husband died in 1864.

William Bradford Whiting #47662591
Hope all is well.

My name is Roger Whiting. I'm a Find a Grave contributor (family members only). I'm currently working on a Whiting genealogy project, part of which is to link all of our Whiting ancestors.

I found that you maintain our great, great, great, great, great grandfathers grave - William Bradford Whiting #47662591. I maintain his wife, Amy Lathrop Whiting, through the family to my father, Richard Nathaniel Whiting. Would you consider transferring William Bradford Whiting to me? My member number is 47871425 if you decide to make the transfer.

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi I was wondering what proof thier is that John and Chloe are buried here is thier a headstone? I ask only because this family was from rochester Ny and John Fuller Bisbee is buried there and their is a pic of his headstone, so I am wondering why he is listed in Montogemry County with Chloe urrill Bisbee.

No headstone has been found. He does descend from a Mayflower figure as I have proved that link for a friend.

Edgells in Mt. Hope

Of the 8 Edgells in the cemetery there are 3 I do not know for sure. The ones I can definitely identify are the father, his mother and his 3 wives. His father may also be buried there.

I am unsure of Charles Edgell d. 1840, Francis N. Edgell d. 1840 and Maria Edgell d. 1841 that they are probably Joseph's children though I am unsure.

I will check on the Mt. Hope Cemetery internment online to see if/how they are listed.

Orlopp records in Palmyra Cemetery
Dear Mr. Verstreate,
I am fairly new to Find A Grave and have just submitted many edits for Palmyra cemetery. I did not realize you had to approve them because you submitted them. I have been working on the Orlopp family genealogy for about 30 years and the Orlopp records listed in the Palmyra NY Cemetery are all my husbands family. I would be willing (and would like) to take over managing all of the Orlopp records you have submitted in Palmyra if you wish. I have a great deal of information to add to the 15 records. Let me know your thought. If you need a list of names let me know. I will stop adding edits until I hear from you to save you time. Thank you for all you do.
