My researching of family began, after the birth of my grandson Max in 1997, when my daughter-in-law gave me a version of Family Tree Maker. As a child I always loved mysteries. I read my mother's Ellery Queen novels, watched Perry Mason episodes and my favorite board game was Clue. I always thought how much fun it would be to work as a detective. I guess, in my own way, I do.|
I firmly believe that our ancestors deserve more than just dates on their memorials. It is because of that philosophy that I try to add as much of the information that is available to me. Thank you for either your help or your understanding when I fall short.

It is for that reason that I have stopped making transfers for right now. I have been backtracking my postings to make corrections or add information.

The surnames I am searching and recording;
from my paternal side are:
Gibson, Keller, Miller, Ploehs, Reed, Walkinshaw
from my maternal side, they are:
Beamer, Cunningham, Nelson, Peterson, Park, Parke, Parks, Perrell, Snow and Wiseman
On my husband's tree there are the following:
Mutscher, Oldendorf, vonGunden
The surname originated from 'von Gunten,' i.e. from the village of Gunten on Lake Thun in Kanton Bern, Switzerland. Hans von Gunten appeared in 1703 and 1704.
For those who wonder...
Why the number of memorials managed is higher than the number of memorials created?
This is due to some generous F*A*G contributors who decided to transfer some of their memorials to myself and others.
I feel honored to be one of the recipients entrusted to care for these postings.

It has bee awhile since I wrote this note and do not have the numbers of both memorials. Whichever one results should be the most accurate and complete.If the one least developed cannot be merged or illiminated both memorial should be listed on each individual memorial. I am not a find a grave die hard, dont know the rules, just did not want any confusion over others locating my an estor.

Transfer is complete. I am now just getting to my e-mails and playing catch up. Was moving from NC to FL, when your request was sent. Have a wonderful week.
|Merf||RE: WOW, Transfers & thank yous X3|
My pleasure! My ultimate goal for every memorial I create is to transfer it to friend or family of that person! If I can do anything for you at Greenwood, I will be happy to do so.

I am not related to the Walkinshaw family but there are relatives still in Nuckolls County and will retain her memorial for when a closer relative asks for a transfer. I will gladly add info if you have documentation.

Hi Marcia: Glad I was able to transfer more of your family members to you. I spend many hours walking cemeteries documenting graves in hopes that loved ones will find their ancestors. Glad I could be of help to you again. Chris

Thank you. I did not add the links they came in as an edit and I assumed they were correct. I am trusting you are correct and have removed them. Respectfully, James
