Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a gravestone conservator, owning a small business that deals will the restoration and cleaning of historic gravestones and take great pride in fixing every single stone we take on. I am also a local history maniac, who has a hobby (some may call it an obsession) of finding and visiting old cemeteries, especially small, rural plots. If I have a memorial of someone that is in your family or very close to you, I would be more than happy to transfer it to you. Also, if you have any extra information for any memorial I have, please feel free to send me an email. I will update the memorial very quickly. (I secretly love getting added information or corrections to the memorials I upload.)

Beardsley/Beardslee Family Genealogy
RE: Beardsley's in Oxford, NY
Hi Kurt,

I submitted an edit for Anna Maria (Catlin) Beardsley, Memorial# 150429865, and included a link to the Beardsley genealogy published by Nellie (Beardsley) Holt. Her genealogy is considered the about best resource for the Beardsley family, though there are a few errors that have been identified.

The link will take you straight to the relevant page for Anna Maria and her family. There are some other entries for the Oxford, NY, Beardsley family as well, and I've submitted a number of other edits to link as many Find A Grave memorials as I have been able to make sense of.

As a Beardsley I'd like to thank you for the work you have been doing in the cemeteries, especially for my surname graves, but for all of the others regardless of family names as well! What you do is important work!

I just became aware of the story of little Meritt's window this past summer. I'm planning to visit this cemetery once the weather warms up again to see his grave and the work you have been doing.

Zebalon Stone at Rounds Cemetery
Thank you for the posting the photographs of Zebalon Stone's headstone. It is a lovely unique stone that warrants a photograph at findagrave.

Sarah Whiting, Woodland Cemetery
Hello. Yesterday, I searched for Sarah's headstone in Section B-2, Tier 2, Grave 58, and I'm sorry to say that there is no stone. This section is comprised of hundreds of single graves from the late 1800s, early 1900s, and most have no headstones. Cemetery records show that she is burried in the same grave as William Whiting who died in 1879. I am posting a photo to her Find A Grave memorial showing the exact location of where their should be. Wish I could be of more help.

Fixing headstones
Kurt, I just read your bio and was wondering if you actually repair or upright damaged stones? I am particularly interested in the Herkimer County, New York. Thanks Leo Offerman
