Bio and Links
Bio Photo The cemeteries are one of the best ways to gather information such as birth/death dates, marriage dates, spouse's name, family members, etc. This site has been a treasure box for us, we hope to give back a little information in return.
Only a genealogist can appreciate the excitement of finding a picture of that ancestor or their marker.
Additional information & or corrections are welcome.
Duplications are not intentional.
Will be glad to transfer any memorial, unless it is one of our family.
Thank You

RE: Liberty Hill MBC picture
Yes, after some research, I found this cemetery & church was once called Ebenezer and the road where the church was located was named the same. When Claiborne Lake was build, the road from the church to the cemetery was covered with water. Sometime around the same time the church was renamed Liberty Hill and now I don't think the church is being used and no one is taking care of the cemetery. I have cataloged all the graves that I could, but it is a mess.

Did you folks catalog the Liberty Hill cemetery in Lincoln Parish? The last time I looked it wasn't even listed on Find A Grave. On Google Earth it appears to be a large cemetery right across from the church.

Drew Poplin
Who is Drew Poplin. My G-Uncle James A Poplin is buried in Merrell Cemetery too. I wonder if there is a connection between Drew and "Aus".

Daniel photos
Thank you so much for the great photos of Minnie Belle Daniel's headstone. We were going to get back up there and get them but now we don't have to be in a hurry to get it.
Thank y'all for all the photos you have gotten for me and the many memorials of Arkansas family members you have transferred to me. They are greatly appreciated. If I can ever be of any assistance down here in N.E. Texas just let me know.
Thanks again.

Liberty Hill MBC picture
The picture that you have posted for Liberty Hill Church & Cemetery in Claiborne Parish, LA is not the correct church. It has taken me a little time to figure it out, but that is a picture of Liberty Hill MBC in Lincoln Parish, LA located at GPS 323745N - 924812W it is also on Liberty Hill but wrong location.

Liberty Hill in Claiborne Parish is GPS 324653N-925553W which is not shown on the topo maps, I finely found it with Google Earth. Now, I have got to confirm and will make a picture.

Mount Zion Cemetery
Hello, If you can would you please take a picture of the stones for Dorsey Harris & Ed Harris. They are buried in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Hempstead County, Arkansas. I believe using the census they both died between 1870 & 1880. Thank you, Donna

RE: W H Prescott
It was his rank during the war. He likely raised his company in the area of Old Washington, and was elected Captain. It is probable that he was well-liked, and would have been called "Captain" after the war, out of respect.
I found a biography on him in the "Washington Telegraph" Sept.18,1908 p.5 and his obituary in the same paper, on the date of Feb. 11,1910 p.5.

Hope you don't mind my edit on your work.

W P Barham at Forest Hill Cemetery
Hello. The "W P" stands for William Porter. His parents, William Barham (1796-1874) and Suzannah Fortner Barham(1797-1874, are also buried at Forest Hill Cemetery but their markers were knocked down. Could you make changes? Thanks.
