Bio and Links
Bio Photo About Me: I like new experiences, and I'm interested in learning new things. I like to correspond with other persons who have insatiable curiousity and fascination with the world around them. Anyone out there who studies ancient Greek and Latin? I really need the practice! Just looking for people who have the same interests I do. World travel, music, literature, history and museums, art exhibits and academic life. Activities: Study, study, study! travel, genealogy, photography, ceramic art and piano every once in a while... Interests: Travel, study, writing, reading, music, photography, lots of things... I study ancient history, particularly Ancient Mediterranean (Roman, Greece, ancient Near East and Egypt), also world history, history of slavery and Mediterranean archaeology. I read quite a lot (mostly history and non-fiction) but at this point it's mostly related to what I'm studying; I occasionally have time to work on creative writing projects like travel journals and scrapbooks. Most everything is related to grad school right now, but that's fine, because it's what I like to do, so I'm happy with it...

Thank you for posting all the photos of the Tilleys/Kellers in Arkansas. I was surprised to see so many headstones. It seems Alabama was harder on headstones (when they could afford it), and I'm afraid a few of my ancestor's headstones are lost.

Hello Cousin,
I noticed you are a great x3 granddaughter of Nancy Jane Altom Wood. I am a great x4 granddaughter of Nancy Jane Altom and Henry Sanders Wood.

Chas Watts
I am refering to Chas J Watts, 1850 to 1925. If you state that he was a civil war veteran, he would have been to young, since the civil war was only 1861 to 1865, that would put his age at 11 years to 15 years. Either way he would still be to young. Unless you have proof. If you do, will you please share the info with the rest of us.

Thank You.

Elliott Family
How are you related to Bugie and Roy Ball? Bugie was my grandmother's (Ruey Elliott-Dardenne) sister.

Oh it must have been Jesse Hendricks. Well if you can figure out what that word above "Quakertown" is on his stone, I'd be interested to know what it is. I can go back and attempt a pencil rubbing if you'd like. The church office only had a listing of the graves, not inscriptions. Christine

you're welcome! I don't actually remember which one it was - I took a bunch recently - but I'm glad you are happy with it! Christine

RE: Thank You!
I was happy to help. The groundskeeper said to say hi if you were the one who used to come by and see the grave. People know him by "Elvis"
