I spend a lot of time with my oldest grandson, Aidan. His little brother came along recently and so far my oldest continues to remind me that he is my number one.
Genealogy is something I started doing about twenty years ago with the goal of recording "the original ten"; they where the seven boys and three girls of my grandparents. That has grown to over 5,500 people now, of which many are not Waldrops.
Pen, pad and digital camera are with me wherever I go ready to record whatever catches my eye. If you see someone with two little dogs, Brandy and Buffy, the old geezer will be me.
Nell S Leslie Recently I Sent you a link Stating That Nell S Leslie's (1910-2005) maiden name is Sanders. This was declined and would remove accurate data. If you review the Obit's of her Children Benny David Leslie and Jane Ellen Leslie, it states that their Mother is Nell Sanders. At present I am researching the identity of Her Parents. I hope this clarifies my linking of Nell S Leslie. Thanks for your Time. Bill Simmons.
Evelyn Kate Nalley Waldrop This name was added to my dads as a spouce. This is not my mom. She is not buried in Travers Rest nor born in 1924 and her name wan not Kate. I manage my fathers site. Kim Bagwell Minor
James Edward (Edd) Waldrop Hi Ray! Thank you for your spelling of James' last name. Somehow, we got into a quagmire trying to decipher what was the correct spelling. So, we are transferring James to you, and you can spar with the other Waldrups who may have a future say-so :)
We would like to get out of the Waldrop/Waldrup controversy. Gratefully, PATTYB&JR
J B Justus Ray, This J B Justus: Burial: Pleasant Grove Cemetery Etowah Henderson County North Carolina, USA
Edit Virtual Cemetery info [?]
Created by: ray waldrop Record added: Mar 08, 2011 Find A Grave Memorial# 66647411 I believe he could be James B son of Jesse Richardson and Mary Ann Jones Justus who is buried in the same area according to Henderson Co Cemetery book. If so his dates are 1861-1922 and his wife was Mary Ann Blythe Justus 1853-1932 and is buried in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. I am researching both the Justus, Jones and Blythe families as part of my Mother and Dad's families. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to keeping our genealogy alive for our descendants. Eleanor Morrison Lawson firstname.lastname@example.org ps. If you find further, could you please let me know? I am 88 and can only rely on internet searches.
Pinckney Waldrep (#3958105) I found some information on this soldier. He was always referred to a Pinkney so want to make sure you have the right man. He must have left a widow because a pension was filed for his child in 1871 with J.J. Veal as guardian. So his widow possibly remarried to J.J. Veal.
