Bio and Links
Bio Photo PLEASE DO leave tokens/flowers for Sir Lancelot, my very special kitty, as he and I truly enjoy them. Please leave lots and lots, as he always did like to "ham it up"! You can visit his memorial through my virtual cemetery for him or at memorial # 133473389. Below are his special dates:
Sir Lancelot's birthday is April 24, 1994 and he passed on October 9, 2012. He was nearly 18 1/2 years old. I am told that is 90 years old by human standards.

I began genealogy in 1992. I remember the year because my only child married and I figured I would be getting grandchildren. It still hasn't happened... I was always interested in my roots but didn't really know where to begin. When I would ask my Father about family history, he always said,"You don't want to get into all that! All you will find are a bunch of old horse thieves!" Well to date, I haven't found any horse thieves but I have found lots of preachers!

The first time I visited a genealogy library and noticed people with note books full of their notes, I was so envious. Now I have file cabinets (regular cabinets too) just crammed full of genealogy notes, copies of documents, etc. But genealogy is a never ending puzzle, at least I can't seem to find an end to it.

If someone finds that I have made an error, please contact me with corrections.

I have recently rediscovered the Find A Grave website and think it is such a useful tool for people researching their roots.

Hope your digging turns up GOLD!

Hi, I am searching for info on Richard Emory McGee, born 1866 died 1954, who is buried in the Parker Cemetery. He was my grandfather.Although I have collected some info on his wife,my grandmother, Fereba Geneva Henley McGee, cannot find anything on Richard. Can't even find his parents name! Do you happen to have any info on him

RE: J P & Ann Sample
My wife's sister-in-law, Wanda Sample, is the GG granddaughter of James Bedford and his first wife Elizabeth. She asked me to research her line. The J. P. and Ann on the same stone, plus the dates and info in the bio, indicates that these were the parents. Except the names J. P. instead of John and Sarah instead of Ann leaves some doubt. Ann could have been another wife. Also there is a John and Sarah Ann Sample who were born in Lanark, Scotland. The "abt." dates however, are 15 years off. I was hoping that you might have some better evidence than what was written in the bio that J. P. and Ann were the parents. I was glad to get the info on Sarah Ann's maiden name. I didn't have that. Wanda's lineage goes from James B. to William Robert to Thomas Frank to John Thomas. Thanks a bunch for the info. Charles B. Tobler

Sarah Gill Head
Hi Charlie
I guess we are cousins. I descend from William Gill, Sarah's brother.

Do you know much about her father or grandfather? I made a page for her father with what I know but I couldn't find where he is buried. Also not sure exactly his father's name but think it was Joseph. Also think he had a twin brother named Joseph. Just wondering if you had any leads.
