About 18 years ago, while passing through Indiana, my husband made the comment that he remembered visiting an Aunt in Boonville while he was growing up. So we decided to stop and see what we could find. That was the beginning of our addiction and love affair with genealogy! Since then I can't get enough of searching records and walking through cemeteries. If I could have my "dream job" it would be working in a cemetery office helping others locate graves. My sister has been bitten by the bug as well and she is my usual partner when it comes to locating graves - two pairs of eyes are better than one!|
We currently live in the St. Louis area and are willing to help others as we can.

|Ronald Montague||Memorial Transfer Request for Robert Hillieman|
Robert's first wife Edith was my grandmother Lorraine's oldest sister. I am somewhat familiar with the Hillemans. One of Robert's sons - Maurice - was a highly regarded scientist with Merck in or near Philadelphia. At least two of his sons - Harold and Richard - lived in the San Fernando Valley in California. I became reacquainted with the California branch in the 1970 time frame when my grandmother and I visited them one Saturday or Sunday.
My current plan is to manage the memorial's of my grandmother's siblings if they are not managed by direct descendants.
Are you a descendant of Robert's in some way? I saw that he remarried. If not, could you kindly transfer the memorial to me?
I see you live in the St. Louis area. I am in Chesterfield near 141 and Clayton.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for the transfer of those memorials -- if only others would have the same attitude as you about transfers. On these, I didn't feel strongly either way but if someone ever submits suggestions, I know my co-worker will be eager to know what relative made the submission -- so in that sense it may bring two relatives together. Thanks again.
|Lynette Miller||Buthfer Transfers|
Received your public message and transfer to me only if you are willing, although I am not related to the Buthfers. However, I am doing research for a co-worker and as I learn of info I could either add the additional info myself (if you transfer) or continue to use the edit button if no transfer. Either way is fine by me. I am finding more and more "transfer resistant" memorial creators, who won't even transfer to blood relatives--even if slightly outside the 4-generation mandatory find a grave policy--so it's refreshing to find someone ready and willing. Thanks for the transfer. I've updated his dates, locations and added his obituary. Keep up the great work!

Jan, Thanks for the transfers.
|LonnaBeth ||RE: Dorothea Grupe|
That would be very nice if OK with you. If your husband served Eisleben, you must know the history of Rev. Henry Grupe. Thank you so much LonnaBeth
