IF YOU SEND ME A CORRECTION FOR ONE OF MY MEMORIALS, AND I HAVE NO WAY TO CONTACT YOU, YOUR CORRECTIONS MAY NOT BE MADE. SORRY.|
I have been working on genealogy since about 1958, when I was working on a boy scout merit badge, and got hooked. My wife and I started recording cemetery data in 1975 in Franklin County, MO, and I have photographed a lot of the headstones. My data on Franklin County is limited to cemetery research. I am a member of the research team at Historic Florissant, Inc., doing genealogy-cemetery research in Florissant, namely St. Ferdinand Cemetery, of which I am currently photographing and doing research. I would be glad to share any data that I have with you or help you with your research in the Florissant MO area.
If anyone should find errors on any of my info, please let me know, so it can be corrected. If I have a memorial of someone related to you, I would be glad to transfer them to you.
A note concerning FLOWERS:
Do not post biographical info, military service records, census data etc. as a flower. This is a violation of the Find-A-Grave guidelines. Use the EDIT tab to provide the info, and I will update the memorial or transfer it to you.

Wow! How on earth were you able to accept my photo request, take the photo and then upload it, in just a matter of a few minutes!!!! You must have some high-tech equipment and must already be out in the field:)
Thank you for the photo of the grave marker for Karl O'Brien (Memorial Park Cemetery)! If you by chance notice associated family grave markers, I'd be grateful to know about them. His mother Ella is the only one I know about being buried near him. Thank you!!!!!

I have his obit. If I send you the transcription will you add it to his memorial? I am trying to slove a family mystery. Putting his obit in his memorial may help. He was married to Helen, my dad's 1st cousin.

Andrew, May I use your headstone photo for this officer?
|Glenda Ragan||Re: Grobe|
Years ago I was in Nevada City or Grass Valley, I visited both that day in California. Anyway, I bought a old album with pictures, cards, etc. in it. I think the lady took some of them out and maybe sold to someone else. I think I have traced them to a family that came from Germany, lived in New York. At least a daughter Anna "Annie" was born. Family is listed on 1910 census as Frank Grobe and wife Anna, with daughter Anna and Edward Sullivan her husband living with them on Buena Vista Street in San Francisco. Maybe a distant relative of yours. There are quite a few pictures and cards. The pictures don't have names but the postcards give names and addresses. I bought the rest of the pictures and the old album. At one time a very nice piece. Has some well connected people it seems in the San Francisco area. A clipping showed a death notice of a lady that owned the Cliff House in San Francisco.
Does your family line include this surname?
It was here last weekend .... did you miss it?
