Bio

I am so looking forward to retiring from my full time job as a nurse so I can spend more time recording photos and grave sites on Find A Grave. Now I work my 8 hours, take my camera and go to one of the local cemteries after that. There are four in our area that have vast numbers of graves that are not recorded here. After a hard day of work, I find it so peaceful and tranquil just wandering around in the cemtery and I find that I am still helping people just in a different way .
My pet peeve is one of the cemeteries about 10 miles away is huge and so full of info just begging to be recorded but the cemetery is huge and is almost impossible to do photo request there because the people in the office won't do look ups unless you are a family member . They have nothing on computers , everything has to be looked up on index cards. then they want to drive you out to the grave site and then complain about taking time from there office. I aksed why they don't hire someone part time just to do the lookups.. I think that would be a "dream job". But they don't want to do that. So far now I am just taking one day at a time and whittling away as many as I can when I can, and just happy to be helping others find there loved ones resting place.
