Apologies to any members that may have sent me requests that I have not responded to yet. I do not always have as much time for this hobby as I would like; but I try to address the requests as soon as I am able. Please bare with me. Thank you! (3/5/13)
I have been interested in family history for over 20 years. In 2006 I became intrigued with visiting and photographing cemeteries.
I had browsed and used Find A Grave many times. However, it wasn't until a couple years ago that I was able to use it to find a missing link in my own family. Now I am truly appreciative of what an awesome tool this is for genealogy researchers.
I appreciate all the time and effort of the staff and fellow contributors. What an awesome gift we are sharing with eachother. A couple of years ago I moved from Southern California to North Georgia. It has been fun exploring our new area. If I can, or have been of help to you in finding a grave, then please drop me a note to let me know. I'd love to hear from you. I also have no problem with making corrections, additions, or memorial transfers. PLEASE USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT FEATURE TO SUGGEST A CORRECTION, and I will get to it as soon as I can. Which may, unfortunately, be later than sooner. Thanks!
FYI-I do not mind sharing photos here at Find A Grave. However, I would hate for the photos I have taken to be copied and placed into incorrect cemeteries. It would be a shame to have this invaluable information be tainted that way. I hope that most people are here for the right reasons, and will think twice about borrowing images, reposting them (incorrectly) elsewhere, or taking sole credit for them. Please respect eachothers hard work in making this site what it is. Thanks! | |

 | Find A Grave Memorial # 26523027, Infant Daughter Hi D. Bagwell,
I accessed the above Memorial in Thyatira Cemetery in Jefferson, Jackson, Georgia. In the writeup of the grave, you state that this infant is the daughter of M. L. Burns and Bessie J. Burns. She, in fact, in the daughter of William Jones Burns (1866-?) and his wife, Bessie B. Jackson, (1871-?).
If you could make the additions/corrections, it would be appreciated. I have been researching my family for over 40 years and the Burns link is via a former sister-in-law.
Thanks for your assistance.

 | RE: Cousin cousin, how are you?I work part time but would be interested in conversing with you any evening or on the weekend. Are you ever in touch with Marvin Sparks. He is a relative in North Carolina I believe. He has really done a lot of work on the McBrydes. Do you know the story of the different spelling of the McBryde name? My grandmother, Josie Lee always used McBride. It seems that most of Zachariah's siblings used that spelling. I had been in touch with a McBryde in Austin who is a descendant from a brother of Zachariahs. He was well into his 80s and I believe he is deceased. He has a brother who is a judge in north Texas somewhere. When I was corresponding with him, he sent me his life story, very interesting. If you are interested in a copy, I can probably get one to you. Anyway it was great that you got to go to the McBryde cemetery. I had a friend who was making a trip to Georgia and she graciously took a day, found the cemetery and took some pictures for me. I was just sorry that it is in bad shape. Anyway let me hear from you when you have a chance.

 | Elisa A Kesler Hardy photos Hi, Thanks so much for all the different photos of Elisa's grave. I really appreciate it! Sandy | | | Betty Boutwell
 | Hardy Cemetery I would appreciate it if you would leave the graves I claim alone. I would never take any away from you. It is not right. You have done this before and I never said anything but now I am upset. I went out there and cleaned up around the grave to find out you have already taken the picture. Please don't do it again. | RE: Hobbs Family Connection That's ok just wish to share with interested parties. Like you I have contributed tom Find-A-Grave and hve been researching my wife's family for over 13 years. I have been working on the Hoobs family with very little luck until I found your FGA entries. They have helped stitch together the children of Ira and Nancy Frances (Hobbs) Cox. If you send an email address I will send you some family group sheets. I found Wiley William Cox in the 1910 Census married to Leonola. 10 years later he is living in Tennessee, married to Deller. Very confusing. Please contact me at John8530@aol.com. John Mangan | | | John F. Mangan
 | Hobbs Family Connection I found your profile while tying to fill in the Hobbs-Cox connection. The Hobbs are in the maternal side of my wife's family tree. I traced her family through the hobbs, Wilsons and to the Strobergs. if you wish to share some family info on this family line contact me at John8530@aol.com | | | | [View all messages...] |
