I have been researching my (Carlile/Carlisle/Herbsleb/Oberteuffer) and my 1st wife's families (Adkins/Waddle/Swanda/Cabaniss) since the early 1970's. In 2013 I began researching my 2nd wife's family (Hair).|
I am originally from Pennsylvania, was raised around the US Army, and became an "Okie" by marriage. Settled in Oklahoma City after my tour in the US Army (Viet Nam Vet).
Just found findagrave.com this year (2009). It is a great repository for documenting family ties.

How kind of you to reply so quickly and share you info. May I make a friendly suggestion, why not post that info about Mary Elizabeth's mother Mary Elizabeth Chamberlain and her parents names and death info on her memorial. Someone may come along and read it and know something. I've had that happen myself by including extra family information. I saw the death record for John Chamberlain. Isn't it frustrating when the records don't give burial locations. thanks for linking to Thomas! I'll keep looking.

Hi! I noticed you have outstanding photo requests for Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland Maryland. I am preparing for a trip there Sept 8th and I'm planning on trying to fulfill as many of these as I can. Since this cemetery is so large (about 80,000 graves) it would help to have the section and plots of the burials. I have spoken to a lady at the cemetery named Carmelita Walker. She said she can't give the locations of these sites to me since they are not related to me but she said if you could give her a call at 301-568-5400 and tell her that you are a relative (or think you may be!) she can give it to you. She said there is no charge for her to look up this information. Once we have this information it will be sooo much easier to find the grave and photograph it. If you are no longer interested in fulfilling the request for whatever reason, just let me know too so I can cross it off my list. Thanks!

You are very welcome, it was our pleasure. We searched hard for your other 3 requests but couldn't find them. Sorry your Ash stone was difficult to read, we used a little water to try to make it readable. Take care, Connie and Wayne Clark

I have made the changes you requested. Due to unforeseen life challenges, I had to take a break from Find A Grave. I apologize for the time it has taken to get to this request.
Why don't you make a note on the memorial that she was moved from Ronaldsons?

Thank you for attempting to obtain photos of the grave markers I requested. Don't you hate it when there is no marker?! Dang!
