Please transfer his memorial to me and I can correct an error on his parents. Thank you.
Isaac Newcomb 's parents were not William and Nancy Raby so please correct this error. Thank you.
|Jean Nichols Smith||Catherine Nichols Hollifield|
Her parents were John Jack Harvey Nichols and her mother was Mary Yates Nichols. They lived in Sevier County TN when Catherine was born.
Jim McNeal sent to me a lot of information about Catherine, before his untimely death.
So i am not sure if anyone at this website is aware that Jim McNeal died and he was the nephew of Catherine Nichols Holifield.

I know this account says Emily Smith, but it's only her account. I'm her son, and my name is Daniel Lee Smith. My father's name is Lloyd Eugene Smith. And he was raised by Verlin Ulysses Smith and his wife, Cecile. My mother has been browsing this site, looking for extended family, and she happened to come across this memorial. If she's correct, this is Cecile's brother. I don't know if it's true, but it would make Joseph McNeal Jr. my dad's Uncle. And it would also make him my Great Uncle. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org, if you would like to talk further about this. I'd really like to figure it out with your help. Thank you in advance for your time.
|Barbara Munson||Blanche Geers - Metairie Cemetery|
I see you have a photo request at Metairie Cemetery. I'm out at Metairie often, but the cemetery is huge. There are currently 87 requests for photos there. If I present a list of 87 graves asking for locations, the lady will probably shoot me. If you can call the cemetery and get the location, I'll be happy to try to locate the grave and take a photo for you. The phone number of the cemetery office is 504-486-6331.
Be aware that Metairie has locations listed by who owns the cemetery plot. For example, they couldn't find my uncle who died in 2006 until I realized he was buried with his in-laws who died in the 1960s. When you call, have a list of other surnames for them to check under in case your person is buried with in-laws, etc.
I have entered the pictures and one extra Willis. I entered him as Willis E. per his stone, but Cave Hill's database says "Willis Edward" I cannot edit him after transferring him to you...you will need to do it.

I can see now see that Sally was a Ranney before she was a Davis.

|babs||Davis / Ranney family|
Here are the people with stones that are in the same lot with Sally.
Willis Ranney Jr. 1842-1847
Edward E. Ranney 1851-1928 (may be husband)
Kate R. Ranney 1871-1969
Ella Ranney 1840-1917
Sophia Leight Ranney (sife of Willis Ranney) 1811-1887
Willias Ranney 1805-1893
There are also two additonal people by the name of Boteler (Susan & Henry). Could they be any relation? Their stones were identical to Sally's and the Ranney's.

|babs||Sally Davis Family|
I have found her and she is with the Ranney family, which I am assuming is husbands family since she is the only Davis there. BUT there is another Davis family very close by. In fact both lots can be seen in one of my pictures.
Here are their names:
Samuel C. Davis 1873-1909
Willie Davis (baby) -1856
G. Mallory Davis 1861-1903
Barbara Davis 1892-1899
William A. Davis 1821-1892
There may be others but there are no stones for them, but the cemetery could confirm who else might be there by looking at the lot card. I can get that card for you if these are related people.
If these are part of Sally's family go ahead and enter a memorial for them and send me the memorial numbers and I'll gladly enter the pictures.
