Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello! I have been working on my family genealogy/history for a number of years (!!) and would like to thank all those who have made contributions to Find A Grave....I finally got around to making contributions, at first involving mostly my 'immediate' family (450 memorials by now), but now mostly non-family.

Paternal ancestor surnames include: Wesley, Taylor, Randolph, Wilson, Huff, Craig, Smiley, Higgins, Pierce, Simpson, Thompson, Walker, Goodall, Campbell, Carson, Downing, Minor, Ford, Aiken, Hampton, Amend, McMillan, McCollum, Trumbo, Custer, Brown, Sutherland & Hale.
Maternal ancestor names include: Garden, Spreng, Baird, Coble, Horner, Merckle, Young, Stoner, Matthews, Barrett, Clark, Holsworth, Witten, Brandenberry, Murdock, Streeter, Knosp, Faber & Wells.

Ancestry includes English, Scottish, Irish, French-Speaking Germans and German-Speaking Germans.

The current Findagrave project on which I have been heavily involved, with other contributors, is to create a complete listing of the burials of the Stafford (Kansas) Cemetery. Most of the names are established already. Now we are making links and adding marker photos and obituaries/biographies to the memorials. Making excellent progress.....!!

RE: 460th Bomb Group

I made a query on the 460th BG forum and received a reply that Herman Bower was the radio operator of B24 SN 41-29326 that was piloted by Lt George Swazey on the April 23, 1944 mission. There is a Missing Air Crew Report (MACR #4397) for this crew. These reports usually contain the names and home addresses of all of the crew members along with relevant information about the mission and the fate of each crew member, if known. The reports are available through on a free trial basis.

Hi Richard, Yours was the older memorial, don't know why you deleted it. Sorry to cause confusion. You did have Aug 5, 1955 as death date on your memorial. The 1864 birth year comes from:
California, Death Index, 1940-1997
Name: Charles B Wilson
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 14 Feb 1864
Birth Place: Missouri
Death Date: 5 Aug 1955
Death Place: Los Angeles
Mother's Maiden Name: Birch
Father's Surname: Wilson

RE: Patrick Barrett
Would you prefer that I post the military marker, the family marker, or the photo of both? Will somewhat depend on what the photos look like when I transfer them. Sharon

Patrick Barrett
I did take photos of his grave at Valley Center Cemetery today, 5/24/2015. He has two markers. One is the standard government/military marker, and the other, I assume, was placed by his family and is not. I haven't transferred the photos from my camera to my computer yet, so I don't know if one is better than another. I took photos of each marker individually and one of both.

Do you want me to email the photos to you, or what?
