Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in my family history since I was about 7 yrs of age. Both my parents were only children. I wanted to find out more about where my family came from. I was raised in So. CA. No one talked much about family. I did know my grandparents & great grandparents on both sides. A great aunt & uncle and their children.
My paternal Grandfather was born on a homestead in Sentinel Butte, ND but raised in Southeast KS on a dairy and fruit farm, my paternal grandmother was raised on a farm in Elizabeth, IL.

My paternal lines are with Jo Daviess, Stephenson & Kane Counties, IL, Cherokee, Labette, Sedgwick, Crawford and a few other Counties in KS. Golden Valley County & Kidder County, ND, Chautuaqua, Saratoga County NY, Crawford County, Veneago County PA.

My maternal lines are from Turkey, Romania & Russia Montreal, Canada, France.

My family names, Clark, Thraen, Wand, Zink, Artman, Goldhagen, Heiland, Runk, Carnegie, Davis, Hayes, Sparkes, Boorman, Hosmer, Carpenter, Munger, Fuller, Brewster, Cohen, Marcus, Stein, Rosenberg, Fargeon, Taffler, Uslan just to name a few.

I now know more about my families journeys and who I am. I still want to learn so much more! I wanted my 4 children to know more and to leave information for my four grandchildren. A few others here and there.

I have found many families living for many generations in one area and then others where all the offspring go all over the US.

I have been a volunteer at several Family History Centers in Southern CA, UT & KY. I do look ups for many different groups.

I now live in Miami County, KS and have delved into more of my family history. I have had the pleasure to walk where my ancestors have lived, loved, laughed and experienced sorrow.

My husband's family is from Weber & Davis Counties in UT, OH, NE, NY, England, France & Italy.
Family names Green, Hanks, Willey, Call, Holbrook, Sessions, Young, Angell Burrup, Bertoch, Ney, Tanner, Beazer, Clissold, Bounous just to name a few.

My husband joins me on my walks through the cemeteries and we both read out loud the names on each of the stones we stand and walk by. A simple way to remember each one.

I enjoy doing Mitzvah's whenever I am able to!

Rev Elisha Brewster Sparkes
G.C.Angel, I have noted your name associated with the Sparkes family name. My great-great grandfather was Rev Elisha B Sparkes. I have a brief family record that said he had 2 wives, 3 daughters and 7 sons, plus 2 adopted. So far I know of wife: Eliza(Elizabeth). I assume she was #2...last listed as his wife. Who was #1?
Daughters: only found Phebe...and the other 2?
Sons: 5 of 7: Elisha, Manassa, John, Thomas, Harvey (my great grandfather). Do you have any other information for me?

In search of family
Sorry I was trying to leave a message and I may have sent a partial Message. My dad #69862404 Harold Montgomery has his headstone date incorrect on the website. Also his body is laid to rest next to his brother Gerald Montgomery in Washington state. However I see his headstone is in Louisburg cemetery in Kansas. Do you have any idea why? His mother Susan Mason Peck (deceased 1996) is also in the Louisburg cemetery. Are there any other family members laid next to her? I was cut off from
My dads side of the family and now I'm trying hard to find any family that may be alive. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your reply. I didn't know Pamela, she was related to my late brother in law thru the Hatton family.

Benjamin Boorman
Hi,
I am wondering if you have the full information on Benjamin since I see he is a direct line relative for you. He was second cousin to my 4g-grandmother Ann Boorman Denman. I have different information on his parents (sent by some Boorman researchers) but no primary sources.
Thanks!
